Agree….
Looking across mocks now there’s Oline, Dline, WR, LB and a few trading up for a QB (Moore).
Thinking this draft has enough of the same talent level they can essentially draft the same QB talent prospect on day 3 as day 1.
Fill some of the gapping holes elsewhere, left guard, left tackle, right tackle. Nose tackle, edge, safety, corner, inside linebacker and receiver.

There's truth to this, but perceptions are going to be a bit different after the Senior Bowl week. That's where we'll see if a guy steps up to become QB4 that's worth taking late 1 or 2nd round. Cole Payton and Taylen Green are both going to be a lot more in the conversation than they are now. If Green has a standout week in Mobile, then destroys the combine the way he is set up to do, he could sneak late 1st, going to a better than terrible team... better outlook for him than going to Las Vegas or the Jets.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 11:02 pmAgree….

Of this class, Green is the lottery pick I would take but in the 3rd or 4thbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 1:29 pmThere's truth to this, but perceptions are going to be a bit different after the Senior Bowl week. No Beck?
I’m interested in Beck as much as Green.
I believe both will be later round targets that are more likely to pan out.

Not in a million years. Melts under pressure is about the worst thing I can write about a QB, other than "is equally poor with or without pressure".Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 3:16 pmNo Beck?

And @jeemie , I understand he's the value of a 3rd but this QB class is what it is and it will require overpaying by a round IF he has the offseason I expect him to have. I mean, he's instantly going to look better with the weight of carrying a bad team and nonexistent defense off his back. His flaws are quite possibly things that can get better. But, either way, I'm not in favor of them drafting a QB while Mike Tomlin is still in charge. They'll ruin virtually anybody.

I’d have ZERO problem if the spent a 2nd on Green and I’d probably have to say the same about Payton
The Steelers have ZERO at QB

I would say Howard is an unkown but that is as good as a zero. They are bringing in a vet which i disagree with. I would rather roll with howard to see what we have in him.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2026 9:49 pmA lot to play out butbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 1:29 pmThere's truth to this, but perceptions are going to be a bit different after the Senior Bowl week. Imo weve already seen enough of Howard
Bringing in a vet ?? I guess you do need some one other than Howard to acclamate a rookie
The more I think about it I’d take Cole Payton in the 2nd and see what happens

They are bringing in a vet because the Steelers are still in win-now mode and therefore not going to start Howard.
