Pretty good game so far.
It'll be ruined when they put on the Jimmy Johnson ring of fame bs.
Should put O'Donnell up there tonight.

That’s a job for a FO flunky or a media person, not the owner of the franchise. Jerruh is just an attention whore.
How was that not DPI?

Looks like Detroit was trying some gamesmanship to keep Dallas guessing as to who was reporting, and maybe, according to this guy, confused the official?

Which is weird because the whole issue of reporting is so the ref can announce who is eligible.
Leave them guessing to the last minute.
Listening to how Detroit addressed this after the game, something suspicious happened.
Either Detroit was being coy, or NFL games are scripted.
The flag was very late in coming.

The simplest answer is that Jerry threw a tantrum, was super pissed, then Jimmy got on the hone to New York and whined and cried, then Aikman took two minutes from what he was doing in the men's room with someone and started crying with Jimmy and to make those assholes happy Roger called it in.
That's probably what happened.

Lol, I see Other Tex gave the same answer. Perhaps you just don't see it much being outside Texas, but dude's all OVER the place when it comes (came) to the Mavs. Perhaps the new owners will take a step back and just let basketball be basketball.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 4:05 amI’m not an NBA fan, it’s more WWE than an actual sport IMO, but I don’t think even he does it.

Well like I said, I’m not an NBA fan. I do know that Cuban is a showman, but never seen him put himself front and center of a ceremony celebrating other’s accomplishments. If he has, I stand corrected. Maybe it’s just a Dallas thing…Texas Steel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 4:00 pmLol, I see Other Tex gave the same answer. Did he sell the Mavs?

That call was the worst travesty of officiating I have seen, barring the New Orleans PI non call vs Rams a couple years ago.

He sold his majority stake to two casino families, the Adelsons and Dumonts for around 3.5 billion.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 4:14 pmWell like I said, I’m not an NBA fan. He still has a 27% stake and is director of basketball operations, but pulled back from ownership duties to send more time with his family.Jobu wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 8:50 pmI didn’t know that. It was actually a lot closer to the Jerome Bettis "HEADStails" Coin toss, as far as the kind of controversy.Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 6:55 pmThat call was the worst travesty of officiating I have seen, barring the New Orleans PI non call vs Rams a couple years ago.
