Why wasn't Sean McDermott considered?
If we wanted an established HC instead of a up and coming coordinator why wouldn't we have interviewed former Bill's HC Sean McDermott?

He said he was taking a year off (but that didn't come down until late last week); so you can say they were already going to take McCarthy before McD was fired.

McDermott grew up in Pennsylvania (Philly area) too.

Can McDermott say he worked with Joe Montania ? Art II remembers smoking a doobey and watching Super Bowl XIX when in college and thinking to himself how great that Joe Montania guy was and if you can get the guy who worked with Joe Montania you do it.
McCarthy was the pick before the prosess began.

this is my biggest gripe. You had a proven coach who was current. He should have at least gotten a shot.
