I don't give a shit if he's fat. Andy Reid is a fat pig and he does fine.

My big concern is that Art 2 views this team as a contender so he's going to hang on to the oldies and not rebuild. 12 draft picks will help but only if Khan doesn't fuck it up.

Let’s see who comes in as his coordinators
A hoagie sandwich and some baby wipes?

Can McCarthy even wipe his own ass? Doubt he could reach around that far. Probably has a bidet.
maybe that's Omar Khans new role -
about all he is suited for

i have little doubt that's what the fool
thinks
he will find a retread QB with his retread coach
cam watt and maye rodgers are chirping in his ear that they can win - give us another chance

the real problem is art is either a delusional fool or he is lieing while raking in guaranteed cash that he believes is optimized by maintaining mediocrity and not risking failure to achieve SBs. how many Rooneys does this franchise economically support is the style they are accustomed too. Bob Nutting move over - you have company
chasing championships has opportunity costs of different kinds

McCarthy Interview....

Art II
Why should you lead the Steelers?

Mike II
I'm the only coach to ever beat Tomlin in a Super Bowl

Art II
WOW I never thought of that. Clearly you're the best choice. How much money do you want for this life time job?

Sigh.

I was ready for a full reset with a new young coach. Thats not happening now. These assholes think they are contenders. Unbelievably delusional. Art 2 is the problem.

Sigh.

I've said on this sight for years that though I wanted Tomlin gone, I was petrified with what Art would replace him with, been a Steeler and Laker fan my entire life, and they are quite possible 2 or the worst run franchises in the world right now....FML.
I'm Lakers too. With Dodgers ownership now, Lakers will make a come back. Once LeGramps and his crappy son are gone next year, franchise can move forward. I Loathe LeFlop

Perhaps you ass hats can explain what would've happened next year with chris Shula as head coach as opposed to Mike McCarthy

I can’t get over how upset everyone is

He’s better than Flores, Arthur Smith, Weaver, Salah.

He’s a short term hire. He won’t be alive for another 15 years with his body habitus.

If he really sucks, he’s likely to be dead soon as a result of a heartache, stroke or complications due to diabeetus

I do wonder whether Shula and Scheelhasse told them Thanks but No Thanks when Art said he didn't want any change. That's the only explanation I can think of for not finishing the process with the since all reports indicated they had good interviews.

Of course if true that's an indictment that they didn't go deep enough in getting a good pool of candidates. Klay Kubiak must have laughed at us during his zoom.

It’s not that we can predict the future. It’s more about what hiring McCarthy says about the state of the franchise.

You know that may well be Very telling chart to explain Rooney
He will go down as an utter failure with no playoff wins …. He is desperate to get a few before he is done
Otherwise he is a Rooney who failed

I think we're more disappointed than upset.

People were excited to see what a young buck could bring to the table and instead we got the oldest coach in the team's history - I believe I read that he's starting out older than Noll was when he retired.

This was an opportunity to set the tone for the franchise for the next 10-20 years just as they did with the last 3 hires. Their narrative of a young, forward thinking long-term coach goes out the window with this retread.

None of us seemed too pleased with the last guy's 19 year reign.

Funny… Ass hats call out the Steelers for doing the same old shit, but when they don't do the same old shit by not hiring a 30 something defensive guy then everyone's up in arms

You should ne happy … they are good to just play one extra game a year
When Rodger’s returns ….

Multiple coaches … 0-8 coming up

Almost half the teams get one more game

We have no interest to win a SB. We do get it that MM is a Head Coach who wants to call his own plays so don’t expect a true OC

Most were at least OK with Tomlin's hiring initially - there were some instant detractors but nothing like the today's response, not only here but in the media as well. I've seen several sites grading the hire and none gave it better than a C+. Obviously Tomlin wore ,out his welcome -faster with some than others, but at the beginning, most gave him a chance.

It says, contrary to the hope some of us had, that Art II is still in control and will be for some time; and Art II thinks the roster/direction of the team is fine as is. He didn’t want a rebuild; he wanted to keep doing what we do.

I was all set for giving a bright young mind a long leash to rebuild this franchise for the future. McCarthy ain’t that.

I know you’re happy as a pig in shit. All geared up for the vet QB patch and drive for 9-8/10-7 so we can play “one more meaningful game” every other year. Congrats. My Dad is about your age and I’m sad that he’s seen his last Lombardi.
