Gentlemen, it’s been a good ride. I can’t do it anymore.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

When Ben started saying that's the direction he would go if making the choice, I read it as he heard from people in the org they were leaning that way and he wanted to see correct or set the stage.

This is a giant joke and insult to every fan at this point. But alls you can do is point and laugh.

I take back everything positive I've said over the last week and a half. God, we're a joke.

Gutless pick. I hate this organization.

Probably think we'll slop up the "He's one of our own from Pittsburgh" bullshit.

Art 2 is the biggest cunt on earth.

The only good thing is they'll have to replace him long before 20 years.

I was hopeful they'd do the right thing and hire Chris Shula (Rams Defensive Coordinator) and Nate Scheelhaase (Rams Passing Game Coordinator).

I'm not giving up all hope but I will say: (1) I'm extremely disappointed, pessimistic, and (2) Art Rooney is THE PROBLEM in the Burgh

The only way this makes sense to me is if Scheelhaase is brought in as an OC. Give him a year or two as OC with the promise to promote or something like that.

If that's not the case, then Art can fuck all the way off.

I will not be praying or hoping for anything
They have shown their hand
They are the Pirates but at 9-8
Expect cousins, Rodger’s or Murray at qb next

That is actually the unlock. Just get a conductor who is not afraid to keep bringing in high IQ, young and fresh idea filled coordinators.

We will however probably get all retreads and been there done that’s in about 2 months.

We won't know for certain probably, but I'd wager anything that the key to all this for Art II was that McCarthy's desperate ass came in and told him whatever he wanted to hear.

Art II was dead serious in that post-Tomlin presser. He thought they've been contending, he didn't want a rebuild, and the candidate's opinions of this roster were going to play a large part here. Anyone coming in talking about major changes, particularly to the defense, just wasn't going to get the job.

McCarthy is older and wants to compete right away. He's not up for a rebuild he may not survive, either even if he was capable of it.

But as I said yesterday, the Mediocre Mike moniker lives on!

We can only hope but based on who is in charge it's difficult to have hope...

These clowns really think they have a team that can win now !!!!
Think about that
They are going with MM with this draft and no QB?

Literally the only guy they could find who has been consistently as mediocre as Mike.

I think probably an upgrade, but pretty marginal. McCarthy has turtled up tighter in the playoffs than Tomlin ever has, likely costing Rodgers a couple trips to the SB. But that beats the hell out of getting curb stomped in a WC game.

Should’ve connected the dots when this was put out there….
49ers offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak has removed himself from consideration for head coaching vacancies, per sources. The Raiders and Steelers had requested to interview him. He prefers to keep working with Kyle Shanahan.
