Steelers at Browns Game Comments & WTF Knows What Else?
Re: Steelers at Browns Game Comments & WTF Knows What Else?
That wasn’t DPI
And while he may be crowing … the point is still valid albeit for other reasons too
Maybe we were hoping for a DPI call and three straight weeks the ref hand us an undeserved win

You mean *was*, because I'm not sure he ever suits up for them again.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 8:30 pmI'm thinking DK might actually be a difference maker for the Steelers.

If they lose next weekend I will be surprised if he is a Steeler next yearbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 12:16 amYou mean *was*, because I'm not sure he ever suits up for them again.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 8:30 pmI'm thinking DK might actually be a difference maker for the Steelers.
There was clear contact and face guarding. Ward never even tried to play the ball.
I don't care. I'm happy with my Tomlin Special, but that easily could have been called.

Honestly, I thought all three throws were terrible on the last drive and all the deep balls––much worse than the WR play. It's not like guys dropped the ball.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 9:25 pmYes dump this POS WR he sucked and needs to shown the door

I do not think that was DPI. I'm not sure he touched MVS at all before the ball got there.

Faceguarding is not DPI in the NFL, my friend. Only in college/high school.

I thought the last play was absolutely DPI and the OPI call on MVS earlier in the game was even worse. Also Tomlin and the Steelers priority all game was t prevent Garrett from getting a sack so we deserved this loss.

Why is that? Do you think they trade DK or cut him? Maybe he's more tradable now that his guarantees are voided?Gonzo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 12:25 amIf they lose next weekend I will be surprised if he is a Steeler next yearbradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 12:16 amYou mean *was*, because I'm not sure he ever suits up for them again.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 8:30 pmI'm thinking DK might actually be a difference maker for the Steelers.

I believe he will catch some blame and we all know Rooney hates stuff like this

He might be too big of a cap hit to cut and, as disappointing as he has been this year with his drops, he is the only starting quality WR the Steelers have.Gonzo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 1:54 amEither … I am sure they would try and trade firstW&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 1:46 amWhy is that? Doubt they cut or trade him, according to Glazier the cheap Rooney's aren't even voiding his 45 million.

Still can't touch a guy that plays the race card, even if it's made-up.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 2:07 amDoubt they cut or trade him, according to Glazier the cheap Rooney's aren't even voiding his 45 million.
Rodgers couldn't hit a deep throw to save his life today.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 12:35 amHonestly, I thought all three throws were terrible on the last drive and all the deep balls––much worse than the WR play. Even the stupid go route to Scotty Miller on 4th and 1 was there for a touchdown if Rodgers just throws a halfway decent ball- Miller had a step on his man.
Boy was i ever wrong. I thought we would win this game because Rodgers was starting to feel it.
But he played like a total scared pussy,

He did and had the left arm pinned just as the ball was arriving.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 12:39 amI do not think that was DPI. I'm not sure he touched MVS at all before the ball got there.
But this crew didn't call DPI all game long...including when we obviously did it.

DeKaylin isn’t the difference maker.
His name is Darnell and wait until you see how pathetic this offense is without his availability. You got a taste of it today!

Rodgers has been this way for a while. Capable of lighting-up poor defenses but not really a difference maker, especially in this offense.
Basically a game manager at this point. That COULD be enough with a "historic" defense and good coaching, but we have neither.

If it were me on the sticks in Madden, it’d have been a FG attempt in the 1H instead of the 4th and 1 attempt. It would have also been my vote to punt rather than go for it inside of the 2 minute warning at the end of the game, but who knows if they end up getting the ball back under that scenario. Not every decision that comes from the sideline is the one my thumbs would select.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 8:40 pmOK PennyBacker and Texas Black & Gold, let’s hear those Tomlin excuses!!!
This is not my board. It’s very clear that the esteemed folks who run this board, as well as the prevailing majority of this board despise the head coach. I’ve watched the majority of the games over the past decade and many times disagree with the visceral hatred for Tomlin. I keep that under my hat, and rarely promote the scenarios where the vast majority is completely off base.
This board's relationship with Tomlin is complicated, and I'm not expecting to sway anyone's mind from the extreme. Aggressively probing for my opinions about Coach T. is only going to encourage content that will stir things up.

Tomlin PC 1/11/25 -“Don't blink. If you're a blinker cut your eyelids off"

Seriously. Going on 9 years since the last playoff win. Any respectable franchise would have fired him YEARS ago. I really don't know how anyone defends what he's put on tape. How anyone defends playing not-to-lose as something worthwhile.
Barry Switzer and Marvin Lewis rolled into one. Tomlin's career is a near mirror-image of Mike McCarthy, and THAT guy has been fired twice.
He is perfectly free to offer up any full-throated defense of Tomlin he wishes despite the prevailing opinion of anyone on this site or B2B.DumlinBumlinStumlin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 8:11 pmByePennyBacker wrote: ↑Tue Dec 30, 2025 6:31 pmIf it were me on the sticks in Madden, it’d have been a FG attempt in the 1H instead of the 4th and 1 attempt. He has such conviction in his beliefs that he chooses not to do so.
This has honestly become the prevailing opinion on every Steelers site I go to. You have the same dynamic. One ballwasher for every 10+ Tomlin critics.

Don't forget this is the way WE ALL used to be regarding OUR Steelers.
The Steelers (and pretty much every other powerful institution in the world) are responsible for the change in our feelings of blind loyalty.
