HeisMendoza

Mendoza clearly was going to win the Heisman.

Deserving

Indiana is THE story of college football.

I'm admittedly old and cranky, but yes I found his speech overly emotional and cringy (I love(d) my mom too, but no shot in hell I'm calling her "mommy" on national TV no matter how big the moment. AND my mom didn’t have MS but rather breast cancer).

Probably the top pick in the draft, I think he's gotta dial the crying WAY DOWN going forward.

Hopefully he's not drafted by the Raiders or Mike Tomlin (then he'll really have something to cry about).

Anyway

I watched more Vandy football games than I care to admit.

Pavia would've gotten my (imaginary) vote.

Now that Diego acted like a ghetto sore loser punk after the ceremony?

I'm QUITE glad he lost and can only hope he and his posse never cross my TV or phone ever again.

Get off my lawn indeed.

After beating Ohio State it was Mendoza. And yeah Pavia looked liked a clown after the ceremony. See you in the CFL you little punk.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

Loss to IU in the B1G Championship, Sayin sitting alone at his table after the Heisman ceremony, and JJ Smith snubbed for the Biletnikoff... thanks for the chips on the shoulder for a team that didn't really need them.

Read that Duke QB Darian Mensah is pondering a leap to the NFL.

Rd 1 feels a bit steep to me, but He COULD be in play for YOUR Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mendoza and Dante Moore (Should he declare) will go to the Raiduhs and Brownies VERY early in the draft, but I think we all KNOW that Deuce wants to pick HIS next QB on draft night in front of all the yinzers.

Arch Manning announced he's going back Texas

The Cinci Kid is entering the portal.

I still like Bama's Ty Simpson (assuming his back is right), but I really don't want him or any rookie QB near Mike Tomlin and Uncle Artie.

I would take Mensah or Chambliss over Simpson. Both would be day 2 picks.

Count me as a prohibitive fan of Mensah. I've seen some good things in limited games watched. Given the seemingly inevitable R1 QB pick, I'll be watching the games I haven't at some point.

Is anyone planning on attending the draft?

Ohio, hope you're having a good school year and ready to enjoy a much deserved holiday break!

I've given fleeting thought to attending the draft, but honestly I've entered a cranky old man phase and don't think I'd enjoy being around that many drunk yinzers.

Still, with Pittsburgh having no shot at ever hosting a Super Bowl, the draft could be the biggest event to hit that city maybe ever.

The closer the draft gets, the more I'll waffle and waiver

These middle school kids have gone feral! First year as a MS principal has gone pretty well overall though and I'm more than ready for this break. I hope you're having a great year as well!

I somehow managed to snag an Airbnb in North Shore for around $130. I actually stayed at the same place in April and was talking to the owner about it. He told me he accidentally posted it and I happened to get it at that exact time. All other places are like $1000.

GA State QB TJ Finley enters transfer portal AGAIN

Applying for a 7th....SEVENTH...year of college eligibility

Enrolled in 6...that's SIX...college football programs (LSU, Auburn, Texas St, Western KY, Tulane, GA St) and now trying for a 7th!

That's INSANE

Good stuff, Ohio

I'm sure as the draft approaches, they'll be more and more posters deciding to attend the draft. Hopefully some pics are posted AND the Steelers make some actual good picks in front of what I'm guessing will be a record crowd.

Im still not sure any QB in this draft is worth it or better than Howard

I did the draft in Detroit 2 years ago.

It was fun, but being packed in with that many people and standing on the concrete not moving much for 12+ hours (multiple ACLs) was brutal.

One and done for me.

Mensah is going back to Duke. The 2026 QB Class isn't great.

Mendoza and Moore will be gone and I'm not in love with either.

Sorsby interests me but he's entering the portal to weigh options.

Ty Simpson and Nussmeier don't excite me.

Mateer is tough, live arm, and great runner....but he doesn't always process so well and his height is an issue with his side arm deliveries.

Soresby played well against bad competition and not so well against good, and I thought I read he was hitting the portal.

This isn't the draft for a R1 QB, particularly where it appears we'll be picking.

Mateer is Baker Mayfield. If you like Mayfield coming out you should like Mateer.
