Caveman punishing win

Post by jmacinwbp » Sun Sep 22, 2024 8:57 pm

Guys/gals,

Games like today are why I used to love the NFL. Yeah, not modern day 30+ O, that everyone thinks is the only way to win against elite teams in the Playoffs ( I'm not so sure this is a given), but it was our O completely dominating a "tough guy" persona D, and was thoroughly enjoyable to watch.

Harbaugh himself said this was going to be a statement type of game, guess we know which team made the statement, could it be a season defining statement?

I've been always saying RWilson3 is the better QB, but not so sure anymore, and no fucking way Tomlin benches Fields as things currently stand. This could change, based on in game play, and if it does, it might be best for the Steelers for multiple reasons:

- Fields contract
- 6th vs 4th trade compensation
- RWilson the better QB to win now??? This is getting to be less of a talking point each week/Fields win.

As long as Russ doesn't think he's entitled to be QB1, which I don't think he does, I believe he actually likes Fields, then this is optimal. Ride Fields and the wins as long as you can, let Russell get fully healthy, and if Fields reverts to his shitty decisions of daBears fame, then bring in the fully healthy future HOF QB to keep things rolling, and throw a few 45+ air yd dimes to Pickens/CAiii.

After what 3 years??? It's so nice to see a real NFL game plan with a legit NFL OC calling the plays, just really drunk and happy right now 🥃🥃🥃

Russell Wilson is most definitely the better QB, but not for this offense.

Fields' mobility is huge and as the announcers said, Fields is still young and isn't a finished product.

The Bears organization was/is a disaster. A disaster and Fields was a victim of having no coaching and no supporting cast.

I hate Mike Tomlin but the Steelers have a lot of quality players and while their offense isn't exciting to watch, it's perfect for what he does.

....and if Fields is actually harnessing the immense physical skills he has ....and he just might be....then he can be very successful as the starter in Pittsburgh.

Long way to go but I expect Fields is going to get a lot better as this season goes along.

Who gives a shit about the contract. If you can get an athlete like Fields on offense, defense or special teams you pull the trigger at least down to the 3rd round.

Ride Fields as far as he goes this season. Tomkhan will not do better than Fields in the 4th.

Yes, I know Fields sucks.

Like Zeke and Kodiak, you can pin your hopes on the Steelers finding the next Big Ben this April!!!

Picking like 26th.
