Nice backhand by Tanger.
We need to get a winning streak going to I keep some interest in this team.

Pretty smooth period.
Top line was very good but the second line struggled to get any time in the OZ.
Yeah, the PP has been the story but not getting Malkin any real help at wing is another.
BTw it was reported earlier that the 2nd PP will have 71 and 65 on it. Smith on the top unit.

Double bubble PP comes through twice
Maybe the split power play is the answer. Each unit has two guys to play the piano and three guys to carry it.

Sully tried it for a few games weeks ago but abandoned it fairly quickly.
5 minutes of contiguous PK is so tough.
Malkin/Karlsson lack chemistry and it is really apparent on the PP
I’ve always thought Geno had an easier time finding chemistry with guys compared to Sid. Maybe with less cooks in the kitchen they can figure it outfractalsteel wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:32 amSully tried it for a few games weeks ago but abandoned it fairly quickly.

Was able to watch the 5 min PP and the last 10 minutes of the game.
Amazing what happens when you can convert on those opportunities

I only caught the highlights, but I stayed up for the VGK-Edmonton game.
It was glorious to see the Oilers go down. Hill was amazing in goal. McJesus is a great player, but man, he’s unlikeable.
I didn’t know I cared so much about that 17 game winning streak, but apparently I do.
A nice night of hockey for Pens fans!

They’re going to waste the season trying to let Karlsson figure out how to feed Malkin, while the guy who sets him up like it’s the A-B-Cs is on the other power play all year.

The next time Karlsson puts the puck on Malkin's platter will be the first time. I can't believe they don't mix well. I think the new role for Letang is helping him and he is having a really great season.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:17 pmThis ^^^fractalsteel wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:32 amSully tried it for a few games weeks ago but abandoned it fairly quickly.

Coaching. Gotta play the high draft choice or the superstar acquired in the offseason. Where have I seen this before?
