It looked like as the momentum started to shift Detroit couldn’t handle the pressure. Costly penalties, drops, led to enough of a mini meltdown and let it slip away.

Count me in the group of Detroit fucking up and should have taken the FG’s instead of going for it on 4th down.

Smith has experience coaching bad QBs and big bruising backs. Steelers are committed to rolling out bad QBs and big bruising backs. Seems like a perfect fit.

Unless they have their eye on someone with the 9ers or KC, the retread option looks like the pick. I trust the Steelers to fuck this hire up. From the same team who brought you Rust Bekt Randy and Matt "not affiliated with actual country" Canada!

as above, the relevant people on the 49ers have already been interviewing with the teams in consideration. We are simply not on the list. We interviewed two of the bottom tier Patriots candidates (i would rank Johnson and Jones 8th and 11th out of the 11 candidates they interviewed) and Smith, who couldn’t get an interview with anyone else.
