Literally no one is defending Tomlin.

*YOU* are defending Harbaugh
For not "defending" Tomlin, you're sure doing a lot of false equivalence to prop up that turd. Harbaugh HAS been to the AFCC and HAS won playoff games recently.

BAL is competing for championships. But, ummkay, you're not defending Tomlin by tearing down a guy who's team is actually relevant to make Tomlin look like less of a failure.
Again, the Ravens had a MVP QB, #1 seed and home field advantage. The Steelers had… a shell of a defense and Mason Rudolph?

Yeah, Tomlin > Harbaugh this season for sure. Harbaugh is kind of like a reverse Cowher and, I for one, am enjoying it immensely.

I am hoping we all agree that we want Detroit. I don’t want the 49ers to get the chance to break the SB tie

49ers would join the tie, no? Either way, I’m pulling for Detroit.

It's false equivalence to point out that Harbaugh keeps blowing games in the playoffs?

That Harbaugh has a losing record vs Tomlin?

Do you hear yourself?
Harbaugh has a better playoff record than Tomlin. Tomlin has TWICE gone 6+ years without winning a playoff game. HOF talent on both sides of the ball and all he's done the last 13 years is win 3 playoff games. But that is long behind us now.

66-0. Tomlin is too risk averse to win another playoff game. You don't understand the correlation between that, NHALS and AFCN success.

Enjoy NHALS. It's all Tomlin is ever going to give you.

Yep.

Good story, likable team. San Fran getting 6 rings wouldn't be the end of the world, but still a reason to root against

Who's fault is that? How long has Tomlin been the coach?

What about all those years and HOF talent Tomlin wasted? Now he gets a pass because - wait for it - he drafted Kenny and Kenny sucks?!?

This Lions offense and KCs show we are not even in the same league.

No, I don’t make senseless arguments. The ire for those failures is real and deserved. But Tomlin has done more with less over the last few years. And I do give credit for that.

Harbaugh has as many playoff wins and AFCCG appearances over the last 10 years as Tomlin.
True. Of course, Harbaugh won a SB 11 years ago.

Still has 2 more playoff wins and a trip to the AFCC than Tomlin in the last 7 years.
And Harbaugh hasn't done shit without Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, and Haloti Ngata (all Billick picks)

That's not defending Tomlin, that's pointing out that Harbaugh is every bit as flawed (just in different ways)
Looks like Harbaugh is stuck with Kordell Stewart part 2, playoff choker extraordinaire trying to win with defense in an offensive league. I don't put Harbaugh on a pedestal over Tomlin, as they're too similar. Harbaugh's also behind the times.

I think the real comparison is Andy Reid. I remember you telling me that Reid only won anything with KC because Mahomes was in his rookie contract, that Reid would not win another Super Bowl with Mahomes, and that Tomlin could never have won a Super Bowl in the 2010s because Greedy Ben was eating up too much cap. But since then Reid has won another Super Bowl with Mahomes and will have a chance for a 3rd in three weeks.

Andy Reid demonstrates how a HoF QB should make a team into a perennial Super Bowl contender. I can never prove it, but had the Steelers hired Reid when he left the Eagles, then I think the Steelers win at least one Super Bowl in the 2010s. We're winning nothing with Tomlin.

Good for Tomlin. He can take a 6-10 team and get them to 8-8. That's fucking awesome. Personally, I would have traded a few losing seasons in the 2019-2023 period for winning the Super Bowl in the 2010s. But then again, I value Super Bowls over NHALS. I guess I'm just crazy like that.

Take a RT and a C in this draft in rounds 1 and 2.

End of story.

Then get a CB, DL, WR, ILB.

What has he actually done though. A SB is doing more with less. NHALS is meaningless. Getting flushed out of participation playoffs is just axs meaningless.

And what role does he have in creating the situations he finds himself in.

I used to prioritize the number of Lombardis over everything else when deciding which team I wanted to win the Super Bowl. I pulled HARD for the Ravens over the 49ers in that Super Bowl.

But I find that I don't really care about that much anymore. The Rooneys have demonstrated that they don't give a shit about Super Bowls anymore. If they don't care, why should we?

Making fun of. Qb in nfc champ game doesn’t really make a case for Kenny. Even if that qb is losing. There are better ways to defend picket.
