Playoff games

Post by langer » Sun Jan 28, 2024 6:01 pm

I fear the Lions...that they will crumble and get smoked by the Niners. I hope not. Ravens exposed them pretty soundly. If Purdy gets rolling it could be over.

The NFL has to want Taylor to be at the Super Bowl. I can't see them investing this much in the promotion then letting the Ravens win.

Pretty much where I’m at. I think the lions fall apart today unfortunately. The NFL will do everything in its power to make sure Taylor Swift is in the Super Bowl.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

Lions
chefs
Rats
Niners

Taylor Swift has more influence over the NFL then any single player.

Alas, my hopes of a Buffalo/Detroit or a Houston/Tampa Super Bowl didn't happen

I'll be honest - I don't know if I can stomach 2 more weeks of Taylor Swift.....and you know if KC makes the Super Bowl that shit will end with Kelce proposing during the trophy presentation.

I refuse to throw in the towel.

The Lions CAN win this game.

I'm not at Peter King level yet of not watching NFL games, but I can no longer rattle off every player in the NFL..

I sure as hell can't name any 49ers offensive lineman not named Trent Williams.
He plays LT

Lions DE Aiden Hutchinson is white HOT.
He's going to beat the ever loving shit out of the poor bastard out there trying to play RT today.

The Lions secondary kinda sucks thanks to former Steeler Cam Sutton (and piss poor coaching by Aaron glenn).

BUT

Former Bama stud Brian Branch is a big play waiting to happen (EAT CROW (shit) Bama haters).

Fellow Bama speedsters Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams have to keep the great Fred Warner and company on their heels

My guy Sam Laporta going to have to come up HUGE today.

Motor City Cult Hero, Jared Goff, going to need him.

I can't wait to watch Penei Sewell beat the shit out of Nick Bosa all game long.

I have a football hating daughter so the whole Swiftie thing doesn't bother me.
It really has brought her into the living room with me and Jr even if it is just to jump around like a psycho when the camera pans to Taylor.

I think DPOY Kyle Hamilton and DPOY runner up Roquan Smith make Pat Mahomes day quite miserable.

RATS win.

Unfortunately.

I'm really torn because I can't stand the Mahomes constant ball-washing along with the Swifties. But, obviously the Ravens are scumbag thugs.

My only thought here is...could a Ravens superbowl be in our best interest? Would the Dunce Art 2 finally be humiliated and embarrassed that his hated rival has been outdrafting and outcoaching his team? Would he have some shame?

Obviously I'm a Lions fan today as well.

Easy answer to your questions, Franco....NO...and NO

this is why it's dumb to root for Steelers to lose with the delusional thinking that Tomlin will get fired as a result.

Well, apparently not getting fired so long as NHALS remains, which is why many wanted something less than another mediocre year knowing there is nothing better on the horizon with Tomlin other than more mediocrity..

And the offensive failure has, finally, prompted change. So, yes, as many have said this team has to get worse before it can get better. Seems like there's some evidence of that.

Hopefully Deuce is crazy like a fox and working out a blockbuster trade....

No because the Steelers are something like 7-1 against the Rats over the last 8 games. Deuce prob believes just a bounce here or there and they are legit contenders. 🥱

66 yard punt.

Same. Love that opening drive by the Swifties. Fuck the Ravens. Always, in every situation.

Wow, seemed like Lamar could have out run that DB but inexplicably stopped.

Great play by Lamar. 54 had the sack, Lamar escapes, 30 yard TD instead.

Tomlin seems to build his team for the AFCN, while CIN and BAL have built teams that can win outside the North....which is kind of key to postseason success.

That said, we just saw KC and BAL each score a TD with some outstanding plays from their elite QBs. But Tomlin is just too risk averse on offense to compete in the postseason, even when he had an elite QB.

I don't know. The offense flopped and now that hire has been at least partly taken out of his hands. The problem is Deuce believes the playoffs are just a lottery ticket, so until Tomlin notches a losing season or two Rooney will be satisfied with a chance to get that lottery ticket.

As many have said, the only thing this continued mediocrity under Tomlin guarantees is more mediocrity with Tomlin. So if you really want change, the only way that happens is the team getting worse.

Mahomes seems locked in. Carving up the Ravens so far.

I heard Mahomes interviewed while I was driving before the game.

He said all the right things
Throw. The. Football. On. First. Down.

A guy who may be the most uniquely talent QB in history, with one of the all-time great offensive minds in Reid...tough to stop.

The way the Chiefs are playing offense, the Ravens will be forced to throw way more than they want.
