I was just thinking the same thing. But, I want to go one step further and am not sure if it can be done. Drop Clank, then turn around and offer Pickens a 10year $200 million dollar contract plus added bonuses for tds, yards, and anything else I can come up with (yes, tear up his rookie contract). Why, because in 5 years we aren't going to be able to afford him! We will have to franchise tag him over and over because he will be able to make mid 20s per year if not in the 30s by the time his new contract comes up - that's how good this guy is going to be! Maybe with the big number, he says yes and we end up getting a steal in years 6-10!
