Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Monday the NFL is investigating an incident involving a New England Patriots video crew taping in the press box during Sunday's game between the Bengals and Browns in Cleveland. The crew was credentialed by the Browns to shoot video for a Patriots team feature in the press box and their PR person was aware, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Taylor was asked by longtime Bengals radio analyst Dave Lapham about rumors that "the Patriots had a videographer up in the Bengals' press box area, working with an advance scout that was taping video of the Bengals' sideline" at the end of the coach's news conference.

"I'm aware that there was an incident," Taylor said. "But I know the league is investigating it, so I've got no comment on it."

The incident in question involved a Patriots scout who was being filmed while working on a team feature called "Do Your Job," the source said. An official for the Bengals saw a member of the video crew wearing a Patriots shirt and alerted the league, which confiscated the video, according to the source.

In 2007, the Patriots were punished by the NFL for videotaping the New York Jets' defensive playcalls on the sideline during a 2007 game at Giants Stadium, won by New England 38-14. The Patriots were forced to forfeit their first-round draft pick in 2008 and coach Bill Belichick was fined the maximum amount of $500,000. The Patriots also were ordered to pay $250,000 for the scandal, which was dubbed "Spygate" by the media.

The Patriots (10-3) visit the Bengals (1-12) on Sunday.

Except who still uses hand signals - we've got radio's on both offense and defense? But it would be somewhat typical of NE to do something like this to distract from the REAL angle they're working.

Speaking of radios....I wonder how that's monitored? It's gotta be possible to hack those signals, if you're willing to pay for it. And unless the league occasionally takes a QB's helmet and tears it apart, there's really no way to know it doesn't have an extra radio that never shuts off.

On Sunday, Kraft Sports Productions had a credentialed staffer at the Bengals-Browns game in Cleveland filming an advance scout for an upcoming episode of "Do Your Job." According to reports, members of the Bengals saw the taping occurring and alerted officials. The league then obtained the video after speaking with the Patriots employees. The video is said to be of the Bengals sideline, which was to be used for B-roll.

New England got permission from the Browns, but did not contact the Bengals or the league until afterwards.

With that being said, the Bengals believe the Patriots were stealing signs from the Bengals' sideline.

Bill Belichick addressed the matter Monday on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria.

“Yeah, I heard about this and evidently this is our production people on the TV show that were there and I have absolutely nothing to do, we have absolutely nothing to do with anything that they produce or direct or shoot," he said. "I have never even seen any of their tapes or anything else. This is something that we 100 percent have zero involvement with. This is something you’d have to talk to the production people about and what they were doing, or whatever it was. We have never seen anything that they’ve shot, other than what has come down on TV.”

A source tells me a Bengals employee was watching the videographer/cameraman who identified himself as a Robert Kraft employee. The Bengals employee kept an eye on that monitor, the shot was of the Bengals coaches and staff on the sidelines for the entire 1st quarter.

the Bengals employee flagged media relations. Bengals security then interviewed the Kraft videographer. This was also taped. The cameraman asked if they could just delete the footage and it all be forgotten per sources
