Of course it’s New England
The flags must come out
https://www.yahoo.com/amphtml/sports/bo ... 13377.html“But how about this one? Doug Marrone said this was the right call. Barry Church, helmet to helmet, unnecessary roughness. Now it’s Gillette Stadium so the flags have to come out, don’t they boys? They come out in favor of the Patriots, I don’t know about this call on A.J. Bouye.”

I'd love for someone to scrub film and study the Pats O line in this game.
Holding or no?
Brady had all day to throw against a very aggressive defense. They were second behind the steelers in sacks.

refs definitely helped NE today -- but I didn't think it was overwhelming
I'm still amazed they gave Jax that fumble call against Dion Lewis
the PI on AJB was bullshit, but it didn't determine the outcome of the game
The delay of game penalty in 2nd Q against Jax was HUGE -- but that was an easy call -- Jax had a brain cramp -- can't do that and beat NE at NE

very hard to see line play with the angle they give us on TV -- but it sure looked like Jax was being mugged
On the other hand, they ran the same 4 guys the whole game, and they also looked tired as fuck

So many people are on to this now that they're no longer hosing the other team...they're just not calling penalties on NE.

I don't think it's outright collusion but I think it is the thumb on the scale that people are finally noticing

Meh - the Steelers dynasty used to get the same complaints- plenty of opportunities to bury them today and Blake choked.
Pats going for 3-peat next year - wonder what major free agent they will sign?

There were a few comments from Romo and the others today. Then you look at the stupid Malcovich intro and "David/Goliath" crap...
So even the highly paid talking heads aren't able to hide their disgust anymore. And that's the point. Ratings are in the toilet and people are so sick of NE that they watch just hoping to see them lose.

It was obviously a fumble. The bullshit part was that Jack would've scored but for a bullshit whistle.

It's also very targeted - look at the end of the second qtr today... hell it was the same last week to.
Just a deluge of calls against Jacksonvile on both sides of the ball that essentially moves the Patriots from being down 14-3 at the half to 14-10.
Delay of game penalty
Holding
15 yard helmet to helmet
30+ yard PI call
All against the Jags, all within 3 minutes of the half. That momentum shift gets the Patriots on track for the second half. Does it mean the game? No... but it sure helps to get probably close to 70-80 yards in penalties when you absolutely need it.
I also noticed that when the Jags had to punt before the half, the play before was the holding call I believe, the clock was at 2:20 - I remember because the Patriots waited a bit to call a timeout and I noticed the clock.
After the penalty the clock is rest I believe to 2:23.
The next play is 3rd down, then 4th down the punt is caught with a fair catch... with 2:02 on the clock - a free timeout for the Patriots.

Being that Boomer has been a Pats rumpswab for a while now, this real says something.

I’ve been repeating that for 3 weeks
Glad others are too
It’s too cozy and you can bet your house on deep collusion
Goodell is still a puppet to Kraft even after the Brady mess

Two playoff games for Pats.
16 penalties for opponent
5 for Pats.
And if I recall.... refs thru a few flags on Pats after game was settled....almost to lessen the discrepency last week.

Over the last five games, the pats were penalized 13 times for 111 yards and their opponents 35 for 390 yards.

In sane.
No holding penalties on OL in two playoff games.
No PI in two games

You don't have to be lucky when the refs look the other way and bury the flag deep into their pocket!

These penalty numbers are out of hand. A single penalty against them the entire game? The way the game played out, I suppose it left little wiggle room for the refs to tack on meaningless calls at the end to make it look slightly less suspicious.

The Jaguars were called for two defensive pass interference penalties against the Patriots, including a 32-yarder against Bouye that led to a touchdown. During the regular season, Jacksonville was called for an NFL-low five defensive pass interference penalties and had the fewest total defensive penalties with nine.

You can pinpoint the moments this season... I mean how many reviews went the Patriots way on Touchdowns that could have changed the outcome of their games? We know Jesse James, and I'm sure we've seen the touchdown against the Texans that didn't get the same scrutiny as James did, the Jets TD that was called back... not to mention the number of games called just like the one yesterday where opponents had momentum blunted or turned the other way with a deluge of calls. PI, holding... all these things are so subjective that they can be used as a tool - and I think yesterday was a great example.
Nothing is on the level with the Patriots - nothing. It's an already good team that gets a treatment all their own. You just can't sub in 3rd and 4th stringers and have this kind of success and still never get called. Eventually your 3rd string offensive lineman is not going to be able to stop a dominant defensive tackle without a tug, pull, or hold... but those only get called against the other team.

Why I didn't watch any football yesterday, at all. I turned on the Eagles and Vikings at one point but then left the room. Came back in and saw the score 24-7 and proceeded to turn the channel. Couldn't bring myself to watching the cheats. Was not surprised they won. Would have been happily surprised if they lost though. Perhaps the Eagles will not allow the cheats to tie the Steelers in SB's.
