The Steelers suck threads
Re: Any Gilbert defenders left?
Hey!
We have talent evaluators on this team, and they have more information about these guys than we do.
It's a process...sometimes it takes five years for the light to come on.
I ain't gonna bag on these guys until then...because the coaches and talent evaluators see something in them.

Thoroughly disgusting and embarrassing display.
Easily could be 0-2 if not for fake punt.
Put me down for 7-9, down from my original 10-6. Was optimistic but I see the same old patterns:
Oline can't protect Ben
Defense can't force a turnover
Defense cant get sacks
Fucked up to have to sit through that.

Fat chance Gilbert gets benched after they just signed him to that contract. All I can say is pray he improves or they're fucked.

Who are you to question the talent evaluators?

Did we knock Flacco down at all tonight? I think he was touched 3 times.
I don't think so

He was uncharacteristically scattershot tonight.

This guy sucks fucking dick.
The Ravens bring in Steve Smith.
We bring in this bag o' shit.
The problem is he isn't even our worse BIG FA signing.
Herpes Thomas takes that crown.
Ive been saying once you get past 4 or 5 players the rest of the squad its like an expansion team. Someone must have really taken fuckin Warren Sapp to heart . Now we are young fast and stupid.
No...Its Mike Adams time.

8-8 or 9-7 and I still believe the North could be had. Baltimore, even after tonight's game IMO is nothing special.

Marcus Gilbert's NFL draft scouting report:
Positives: Has very long arms, a massive frame and is a $25 dollar cab ride to get around. Fluid in his shuffle, slide and mirror and carries his weight well for a big man. Is athletic enough to pull and work up a level. Flashes some power in his hands. Functional positional run blocker who walls off and seals.
Negatives: Lacks physical and mental toughness and too often looks for an easy way out. Has a lazy streak and gets by on his natural talent. Plays too soft and catches. Not a puncher and does not use his long arms to create extension. Soft sets and gives ground to anchor. Not a finisher. Plays with the temperament of a chardonnay drinker. Marginal functional strength and power. Tends to bend at the waist, lean and upper-body maul defenders. Questionable stamina and tempo. Easily influenced follower. Will take time to adjust to an NFL playbook.
Summary: A flash player who will tease with his sheer mass and athletic ability but may not have enough grit, toughness and desire to survive the everyday grind in the NFL’s trenches. Has played on both sides and would most ideally be suited in a backup swing role.

Stop crying you big pussy before you get your pocket protector wet
They're dropping games on purpose to sign Mark Sanchez

Do we bounce back in 10 days at Carolina?
Will we force a turnover in 2014?

Why do we need Mark Sanchez when we have Laundry Jones waiting in the wings?

I realize that it would admit the FO fucking up badly. I think they do ride this out but for how long? Until Gilbert plays just shitty enough so he doesn't resemble what a POS he was tonight and everyone will say, "see I knew the Gilbert extension would pan out for the OLine" and hasn't Munchak done a fabulous job rehabilitating Gilbert? You can polish a turd....
Mitchell may improve over time..To date he has been bad...When I say bad I mean fucking awful

1 year wonder who tricked the Steelers, that is all.
The Steelers weren't entirely stupid with the Mitchell signing. It is actually very friendly to get out from under if I remember right. It isn't like they gave a huge signing bonus to him. They only pay something like $7 million over the first two years, only $2.2 million this season and it is back loaded.
He has probably two years to round into shape and if he doesn't, they cut him in the offseason 2016.
I just see more of the same from LeBeau this season. Nothing seems to have changed. We are probably still going to give up 20+, 40+ yard run and pass plays every game, still going to have little to no sacks, no turnovers.
At some point you have to make a change in coaching if the players are just not getting it. The Rooneys are not going to let Colbert or Tomlin go and LeBeau is running out of time. If this season is just like the last two, defensively, they are going to move on from LeBeau.

Not sure they win in Carolina even though I think many on this board overrate them.
I literally am not sure if they'll ever force a TO, which is annoying as hell

Steiner reports Vegas has total 2014 wins at an over/under of 6.

They might 'get' a unforced TO...but I don't see them actually causing a fumble or a INT until the teens. By then it won't even matter. Like a dong sack.

How is Ryan Clark looking in Washington?
Is there some way we can give back Shazier and ask politely for us to have Kelvin Benjamin?

Yep agree. Frustrating as hell.
This post was meant for SteelBack. Benjamin would be nice to have, but I doubt he's a cure all for what's wrong with this team.
