Turned that way when Stillers-forums shut down
bradshaw2ben wrote:Some of that is luck, LLS-- Perch posted the stat about the total hits ben took Arians vs Haley... was almost the same.
97.69% excluding meaningless end of season games and suspensions
90.63%
that is the percentage of games Ben has started since he became the starter, with Arians and then with Haley
Yes.
Sickening to me, the idea of taking plays away because of fear of getting hurt.
Ben is not built like and did not run like Griffin lll
I am not opposed to everything Haley has brought. I wanted to add a little more short passing game.
Having said that... turn Ben lose!
Reminds me of the first year Favre with Vikings... their offense sucked when they ran Childress conservative bullshit. When they turned Favre lose, they erupted as one of the best offenses in the league.

Well that, and I think my reputation deserves a little revisionist clean up if that fat head / cock sucker Arians gets to have one! It was Himmler's fault!

When Shanahan came back to Denver, they totally changed the offense and defense and drafting strategies
he went 8-8, then 13-3, 12-4 (SB win), 14-2 (SB win)
yes, he leaned on the run game and had a stud RB fall to him out of nowhere (cough *EAS* cough). Yes his D was improved (cough *PEDs* cough)-- but point is: Elway had a team built around him... Reeves was the ultimate attrition football coach who kept it close and expected Elway to pull it out at the end.
The way I view Tomlin with one exception - he's nowhere close to the ultimate attrition football coach. They keep it close hoping Ben can win it for them. .
Thats a double Bingo.
Attrition isn't an obscene word, but it is the wrong choice for this team Right Now and the problem is compounded because we don't even do attrition-things right.
Very strange situation IMO.
I saw the other thread wishing we had the Hawks D -- I don't really. Their D is better than ours but thats not the issue -- its that we insist on pretending it is and refuse to explore alternative methods in the meantime.

My biggest beef right now is something they addressed in the podcast.
If Cam Heyward is a freakin Monster on the Left, then keep him on the Left! On the right, he's average. I know he's listed on the Left now, but every preseason game he played on the right and looked average. If they do put Heyward back on the left where he belongs, and play Thomas or Keisel on the right, that's better.
There are other examples of switching guys to their weaker side such as Mike Adams. It's good to have a guy know both sides but play a guy at his stronger position.

I'll believe that Kiesel isn't the starting RDE, when I see it.

He's a monster on the right, too. You just have to know what you are looking for to see it sometimes.

Before: 7-9
After: 5-11
I think the first half was more a fluke than turning a corner. The defense is bad, for real. It's not going away because Ike, Troy and Mike Mitchell won't be benched and Casey Hampton ain't coming back.

After seeing the first half and then the second? I'm not going to predict a motherfucking thing but heartburn. No way my 3 month old's first words are going to not be "motherfucker" after this season.

8-8 before and 8-8 after the game. Nothing changes.
Incidentally, My wife is not speaking to me now as a result of this shit and my inability to act like a sensible human being. It will be an uncomfortable night in the Baldo residence...

In a weird way this win is better than the blowout that the first half seemed to promise. This team was to full of itself after that dominant first half and got humbled badly in the second. the lesson is that the difference in talent in today's NFL is not great enough for any team to become complacent. Foot on the gas the entire game, stomp the entire life out of your opponent. As much as I revile Belicheat, the guy has this right. He puts his foot on a team's throat and stomps it flat.

Belechik could've used some of that today… His team up 20 to 10 at the half give up 23 straight points in half two

If this is a team that improves week over week like most teams do and can keep injuries down to a manageable level .... I see this as a 10-6 team going to the playoffs.

I said 9-7, and that looked like a 9-7 team out there today.

10-6... Same as I started the season. No real need to revise just because a young D, presumably with some upside, shit the bed for the better part of a half of football. They did get a few sacks and I think ultimately the turnovers will come with that.

If Jeckal (1st half) plays, 12-4.
If Hyde (2nd half) plays 4-12.

I guess we'll all be spot on with our predictions by week 17. FWIW i just submitted a perfect 53 man roster prediction.

19-0. But it'll feel like 0-19 around here since the average margin of victory will be fewer than 17 points.

Not picking on you but wanted to address this.
A team coming off back to back 8-8 has zero reason to be full of anything except humble pie and desire to rise above.
If what you said is true it's a black eye to our veteran leaders as well as our coaching staff.
