Loved it!
Glad its back!
Glad its back!
I wanted Tyrese to die for being a humane pussy! When that jerk was telling him that he and the baby would die, if it would have been me, I would have slashed his gut and laughed at him while he bled to death! Making sure it would be slow and painful and he'd be conscious while he watched me laugh, just as punishment for mouthing off.
And I love what Rick has become! He just wants to kill everybody and anybody with no remorse! If that world was real, you'd have to say to hell with that humanity bullshit, just win baby.

From the Season 5 teaser trailer that recorded on my DVR for some reason, it looks like we haven't seen the last of Garrett and Beth is stuck in some weird kind of hospital.
Kind of disappointing how obvious they made the Terminus cannibalism thing at the end of last season and how quickly they revealed it this season.
Carol is a badass and I'm excited that what's-his-face (Morgan?) from the first couple episodes and 'Clear' is making a reappearance. It was also nice to see Andrea get killed again since she was such a pain during her final season.

Carol blew up Terminus with some bottle rockets.

The thing is, her aim was perfect, it went right where the gas was coming out of the tank.

My concern going forward is this episode may be the most action packed of the season. This season premier by far was better than any episode last season. I began to become bored with it and watched out of habit I think. This season premier had me on the edge of my seat and happy with the way it unfolded. Now can the writers and show execs stay with this type of thrilling, action packed gore fest? Or are they going to return to the soap opera that this show had become last season?

Some of the trailers seem to show them entering a big city in battle mode, Could be a trip to Washington will be action packed! They need to get us out of back woods Georgia and see how fucked up the world is elsewhere.

Tyrese is a badass.
He is one of the few alive who has morals still, but he's a killing machine when he has to be.

He almost got the baby and himself killed with his "morals". If that world really existed, you'd have to forget the current world's morals. You'd have to be "tribe" oriented and have no remorse for anything you did to anybody outside your own GANG. In fact, you couldn't be giving "benefit of the doubt" to anybody, you may have to do preemptive murder very often to be safe and have piece of mind.

Carol put the bottle rocket in the barrel of her rifle, so it stands to reason she would have been able to use the scope to aim it more accurately towards the gas leak.

That's good analysis, but it didn't seem like she aimed it? Oh well, just a TV show! I always wonder where they shave and get haircuts

Then he slaughtered several walkers and the mouthy guy.
He snaps as needed!

She left that rifle leaning up against the chain link fence too. I was so surprised when they cut after she lit the fuse and then begin the film as the bottle rocket was flying right to the gas leak. There's no way that happens unless she held that fire work in her hand and literally aimed it. Which we used to do (in high school). Bottle rocket fights were the best.

Personally in that world, I think you should snap preemptively, no remorse, no humanity. Don't give anybody the benefit of the doubt.

Its like that today Nick. Its exactly like that today except you're not dealing with flesh eating zombies. You're dealing with money grubbing greedy sneak thieves. Which in my experience is worse cause you can't simply kill them off.

That's the thing, if you where in that world, no law, no police, killing would be common, the norm in fact. If people got the no government world some of them dream of, this is what it would be like gangs and packs competing for resources with violence.

I just convinced myself she picked up the rifle and aimed it during that cut in the scene between when she lit the fuse and when the gas tank exploded. If that was the only real hole in the episode, they're lightyears ahead of some of the previous seasons.

I agree. Last season was going to be my last. I am so disappointed with the soap opera routine.
I (and my favorite film villain of all time, presumably) thoroughly endorse 77's use of the word "sneak-thieves." Now go on, keep reading this thread. I paid you fair.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

How about ripping out your zipper to use as a makeshift saw Macgyver-style?

Assuming it's a metal zipper, it seems plausible enough.

Damn good episode.
Anyone wanna take a stab at what the priest did? Adultery? Murder?
Oh snap, they ate Bob's leg! Wait, is Bob a walker though?
Shit!

I think the priest locked himself in with his food drive canned goods and did not help the members of his church. Carl found the writing and the marks where people were trying to get in. He killed the members of his church by not offering them sanctuary inside. That's why he went nuts when he recognized the girl walker at the food bank.
Bobby Q at the end freaked me out a bit. I thought the same thing, he wanted one more kiss, then was crying outside the church. I figured he was bitten by the underwater walker. Interesting to see how that will play out.
I agree, damn good episode.
I just hope it doesn't become slow and they just hang around the church for 5-6 episodes getting eaten by Gareth. I was hoping there would be different type action, like maybe leaving rural Georgia and road tripping to DC so we can see something more than going on runs to food pantries and crushing skulls.
