NLCS: Mets vs. Cubs

The Amazins are showing us how to bear the Cubs. Good young starting pitching, and their bats had no trouble with Arrieta.

And loving Daniel Murphy owning Cubs pitching.

Game over. A nice big F-You, Chi-town! :D

Last year I took grim (rationalizing) satisfaction when SF won it all, since MadBum just ran us over on the way to running down everybody. This year, screw that. I hope the Mets finish them off tomorrow, on Back to the Future day . . . back to your same old crappy past, Cubs (nope, I'm not still bitter over the WC game, huh? )

PS. IMO the Royals are gonna steamroll either one of these teams in the WS.

Murphy can't keep this up...

I am surprised by weak performances of Toronto and Cubs who were the hottest in baseball second half

Cubs down 4-0 before they ever come to bat.

And the sweep is complete. :D

STFD, Chicago. Hope the Jung Ho karma carries over to wreck next season for 'em too (yeah, if there was really karma, the Bucs woulda trounced them in the WC game :( ).

Meanwhile, there looks to be a lot of bats hitting balls in this year's WS . . .

This is probably the most shocking playoff sweep since the Roid Brothers in Oakland lost to the Cincy Nasty Boys in '90. Who shouldn't have gotten past the Pirates.

Kinda frustrating but happy for the Mets. Didn't the bucs go 6-0 versus them? fuck. Gotta beat the damn division..

The Pirates did sweep the season series with the Mets. But guess what? So did the Cubs. Cubs were 7-0 in the regular season against the Mets.

And down goes the last NL Central team. As bad as the Bucs' loss was, the Mets' victory over the Cubs takes a bit of the sting out of it for me. Fuck Maddon and the Schlubs. Hoping the Amazins go all the way.

Fuck Chicago and the whole corrupt state of Illinois who can't even pay their morbidly obese lottery winners.
