Pens v. Leafs

Post by swissvale72 » Mon Apr 08, 2024 1:52 pm

Asking early…anyone have a link to stream tonight?

Talk shows, well madden, are thinking jarry could be in net tonight. Don’t think Ned can play all 5 remaining games after the 8 in a row he’s done

I dunno know shit about hockey but I dunno why not. Happens all the time in the playoffs.

Jarry needs some action, just in case. Ned needs a break and I'd rather have him rested for Detroit on Thursday.

Did Pabst get fired?

Toronto is unlikely to jump anyone ahead of them but they have a lead of 4 points over Tampa. Important game for them as well.

I'm going to be glued to the TV tonight. Normally I bitch about the Championship game starting so late but it works out tonight. I may not get out of bed until the afternoon on Tuesday.

Man, I don't tend to follow hockey that much, but man, the Pens are doing some incredible things the past couple weeks. Let's GO!

I don't mind people starting threads as long as B2B doesn't dock my pay

I started the thread the other day. Pabst OK’d it since I had been essentially absent from here since my meltdown after the Kraken game

They generally play every other in the playoffs. Need had four in six days. Guy could use a breather. Each game is so important so I understand rolling with what is working. At the same time, you don't want a fatigued goalie. Personally, I roll with Jarry. Then I go back to Ned for the final set of games (unless they somehow clinch before 82 in which case I roll Jarry).

I was in the 90% zone. Cloudy all day. When it reached us it got darker. Then it passed, got brighter out and 45 minutes later the front moved out and half an hour after that hardly a cloud in the sky.

That PP looked phenomenal even with no goal.

Karlsson is flying out there.

Forced the TO then took a tough Malkin pass and wired it.

PP looked pretty good.

Toronto wasn't ready to start. Hope it stays that way.

Isn’t it possible that the puck AND stick hit Crosby’s face?

That too is bullshit.

That’s a very good team though. I like how the pens played 60 min

I just hate how Eller and O’Connor were the only forwards to see ice time there in OT. Maybe one other but if you miss the playoffs by a hair don’t you want someone named Crosby on the ice ASAP?

Sully has been doing such since the Winter thaw and before.
The Pens are a terrible OT team, talent aside.

The penguins don’t value possession in OT. It is maddening.

This is like the third time in recent OTs that Crosby not Malkin have seen the ice in OT. It’s like Sully was playing not to lose and lost anyway.

Hey; good team they played in their house so a point is good… but cmon at least try in OT.

Yohe says Sid had a skate issue at the start of OT. Lame.

Still other guys I’d have out there instead of Eller and DOC. The other thing that really pissed me off about Eller was the Pens got great pressure off the face off and created a turnover and when the puck hit Eller’s stick he immediately fired a shot wide of Samsanov. He had room to skate and attack the net and he stupidly fired the puck from a poor angle.

The one flaw in Sid's game. His choice of skates. Doesn't use what the rest of the league uses. Likes old school skates.

I might be off base here but Sully doesn't like to push the envelope in OT. Plays it safe.
