Yeah, yeah that pass that led to Malkins tying goal was sublime. A Crosby special. Surrounded by chaos he made a simple pass look easy when it was anything but.
There are times I think 39 is better than 35.

He is better. Question I have, is would he play this well as a number 1?fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 2:49 amYeah, yeah that pass that led to Malkins tying goal was sublime. A Crosby special. Surrounded by chaos he made a simple pass look easy when it was anything but.

Jarry hasn’t played poorly this year, but his record is around .500, even with all the shutouts.
Goaltending isn’t the issue. It’s the power play, which went what, 1-8 against the Panthers? That’s horrific.
Sullivan’s unwillingness to change this shitshow is beyond ridiculous. His stubbornness should cost him his job. Maybe he wants to be fired, because there is no explanation I can come up with that explains this any longer. By refusing to change, he is sabotaging this team.
Mike Tomlin and NHALS - The embodiment of the soft bigotry of lowered expectations.

With his bouts of inconsistency I have my doubts about Jarry being ta op tender. Hasn't proven to me he can carry a team.CoolShades wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 10:49 amHe is better. Anyone who watches the Birdies knows the PP is what is dragging this team down. While I'm all for moving on from Sullivan he did change up the PP on the last chance last night moving Malkin and Karlsson to the second unit.
And Sullivans hard headed ways lead me back to Reirden who should have been canned a month of so ago.
It is bad when the hometown fans start to boo the PP just as it gets started.

I don’t understand moving Karlsson. He was supposed to be the best PP QB in the entire league. So sit Malkin’s ass down and play Karlsson in the role he was brought here for.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 2:59 pmWith his bouts of inconsistency I have my doubts about Jarry being ta op tender. EK looks disinterested right now. Not sure why, but Sully doesn’t seem to know how to use him or motivate him.
I agree about Jarry. I have no confidence in him either for a number 1 goalie or a playoff run. If the Pens are sellers at the deadline (and I think they will be) I wouldn’t mind seeing them trade Jarry. I’m tired of him.

IDK about sitting Malkin on the PP. He leads the team in PPP right now and did last year. He has been top 2 on PPP in his career when healthy. Putting him on the point with Karlsson is dangerous.CoolShades wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 9:59 pmI don’t understand moving Karlsson. He was supposed to be the best PP QB in the entire league. Karlsson has been a big disappointment to me. Thankfully 28 and 58 are having very good years on the backend.
I'm done with Sully. His loyalty to Reirden is mind numbing and nearly 50 games in he hasn't figure out how to most effectively use Karlsson.
If it comes to selling( and I think it will) only Sid would be untouchable(unless he wants out). Go to Malkin and Letang and let them finish elsewhere and it being their choice where ,maybe they can luck into a better situation.
But I'm pretty sure that when next year starts Sully will be here. So will Malkin and Letang and maybe Karlsson. And at the trade deadline they will still believe they have a chance to get into the playoffs and hold onto Guentzel only to lose him with no return next year.
