They'd really be better off just naming a roster and being done with it. No one wants to play in the thing at this point. Especially vets who have been there, done that. Like, it was always somewhat of a joke but it's just an outright one now when all these guys can claim they were technically Pro Bowlers because like half the league just said no and they kept moving on down the line until someone said yes.

WTF? Lawrence is the obvious alternative given Nix and Mahomes out but Rodgers wasn't asked?

They likely asked a number of guys and went down the list until they somehow ended up with Shadeur. I think there was one Pro Bowl where they went down to the 9th AFC QB or something ridiculous like that to find someone willing to play in the game.

Sanders is much further down than 9th depending on the metric .... this could be the record for the furthest down they ever go

Hawaii was a special treat. Now it's usually the same city as the Super Bowl... Who really thinks a trip to Santa Clara in January/ February is better than Honolulu. The multi billion dollar NFL moved it because it was cheaper and reduced it to carnival games so now no decent players want to participate. Big surprise - not!

Tyler Huntley was a "Pro Bowler" in 2022. He started 4 games and had 2 TD passes on the season.
