They'd really be better off just naming a roster and being done with it. No one wants to play in the thing at this point. Especially vets who have been there, done that. Like, it was always somewhat of a joke but it's just an outright one now when all these guys can claim they were technically Pro Bowlers because like half the league just said no and they kept moving on down the line until someone said yes.
They likely asked a number of guys and went down the list until they somehow ended up with Shadeur. I think there was one Pro Bowl where they went down to the 9th AFC QB or something ridiculous like that to find someone willing to play in the game.Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 8:31 pmWTF? Lawrence is the obvious alternative given Nix and Mahomes out but Rodgers wasn't asked?
They don’t even play a game anymore, do they?CKSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 9:08 pmThey likely asked a number of guys and went down the list until they somehow ended up with Shadeur. Sanders is much further down than 9th depending on the metric .... this could be the record for the furthest down they ever goCKSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 9:08 pmThey likely asked a number of guys and went down the list until they somehow ended up with Shadeur. Well, now people can stop making fun of the Mac Jones selection.
If a Bear shits in the woods and no one is around to see it, did it really happen?Jobu wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 9:28 pmThey don’t even play a game anymore, do they?CKSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 9:08 pmThey likely asked a number of guys and went down the list until they somehow ended up with Shadeur. Hawaii was a special treat. Now it's usually the same city as the Super Bowl... Who really thinks a trip to Santa Clara in January/ February is better than Honolulu. The multi billion dollar NFL moved it because it was cheaper and reduced it to carnival games so now no decent players want to participate. Big surprise - not!SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 10:56 pmGuys used to go because it was Hawaii for a week with little real work or scheduled bs
Now these guys make enough money to go on their own
