Maye just threw a pick 6 and it was dropped.

Gotta make that play.

I merged the threads. I can’t recall a less exciting set of matchups on Championship weekend in the last 40 years.

I would venture to say the overwhelming majority of NFL fans would consider this final 4 lesser than most years.

Except the ballwashers of course.

Remember when we blew a commanding 3-0 lead to the Texans in our last playoff game?

I feel like the highest paid defense in the league wasn't nearly as good as these 2

That was because we had our backup QB in and Tomlin didn’t want to risk a turnover.

Stidham telegraphing throws or is that just me, or his velocity is so great it doesn’t matter?

Tough call. You're at home with a good defense about to go up 10-0. Or go for it, knowing you have a backup QB and might not get many shots at 7?

Why he didn’t kick FG to go up two scores?

Dumb not to kick the FG there. You’ve got a back-up QB in. Take the points to go up two scores.

Seems like they are moving the ball at will, just every other series. Probably should have kicked it.

Denver’s defense gets the nod over NE who seems to play above their weight class. Maybe NE defense comes back to earth.

Right before the snap I convinced myself I liked it. Your D is playing well, so if you get stopped they take over on their own 11? Still likely to play out for at least +3 to DEN.

Plus, could be tough to score TDs with Stidham. So that's a factor, as well.

Also was a dumb play. Rolling out to the throw.

Don't know if that was a bad playcall or poor execution by Stidham but when you're up in the AFCC and totally dominant the other team's O, you can't have a slow developing play on 3rd.

Going for it on 4th down is getting to be too prevalent..and then the turnover later trying to do too much. NE back in this one

What a shit series by the Pats at the end of the half. So conservative. Looked like the Steelers. Draw, pass short of the sticks, pass short of the sticks, punt.

The Denver D is playing so well that the O frame of mind needs to be Do No Harm.

Football has gotten crazy.

The last 30 seconds of that half saw one team miss a 57-yd FGA, and then the other miss a 62-yd FGA.

This is the game Tomlin envisioned back in September when he said his defense would be "historic".

That’s one of the biggest indictments of Tomlin and the Steelers way. You can in fact go deep in the playoffs with a dominant defense and pretty good offense. Our problem was all that money and draft picks we let Tomlin spend on defense, and his was still below par and awful when it mattered.
