I did a quick search and it appears that the Steelers opened as a 3.5 point favorite and closed as a 3 point favorite.
That is not much movement in the line for the week, especially considering the Steelers all-time record when Watt is out.
I did not hear anyone even mention the Steelers w/o Watt record after he was injured. It was almost as if it didn’t matter. Vegas certainly didn’t care.

Anyone have a theory as to why?

Everyone can see that TJ has fallen off significantly over the past season or so, and the Steelers are deep at OLB?CoolShades wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 4:59 pmI did a quick search and it appears that the Steelers opened as a 3.5 point favorite and closed as a 3 point favorite.

Is that all it is? Everyone can see that Watt is basically washed and his absence from the lineup is not significant at all? If that’s the case, his contract may go down as the worst in Steelers history.
It doesn’t appear he was missed at all last night.

When was the last time TJ mattered in December? Past few seasons he's been worn down and injured. He's still great in September but he matters less and less as the season wears on.CoolShades wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 5:09 pmW&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 5:03 pmEveryone can see that TJ has fallen off significantly over the past season or so, and the Steelers are deep at OLB?CoolShades wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 4:59 pmI did a quick search and it appears that the Steelers opened as a 3.5 point favorite and closed as a 3 point favorite.

And yes, that extension was asinine. It was a payment for past services that TJ pouted his way into receiving. They should have traded him instead.
He’s not only not missed, he’s a boat anchor on the D. Imagine Herbig playing all season.
