Rivers or Flacco

Post by SteelPro » Tue Dec 09, 2025 6:32 pm

With Rivers coming out of retirement it appears competition for Steelers 2026 starting QB job is heating up.

I'd put money on the Steelers at the behest of Tomlin sniffing around Kyler Murray.

If Tomlin is still on the team, Murray is his Qb for next year.

Someone page Steve DeBerg out on the 11th hole, the Colts are in trouble.

Perfect. Bring back itty bitty Dri Archer while they are at it.

Then put bags over Murray, Archer, and CAIII heads and the team can play guess who.

It’ll be fun game they can play when Jibbs gets angry and takes away ping pong.

Nah. Sniffing around Murray, who is 28, when you can have 41 years old Flacco or 44 years old Rivers for free? Too young.

What if Bortles comes back and beats the Steelers, again.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them pursue Murray, either, if we hit NHALS and Mediocre Mike is back... again, fun cross between Dan Bylsma and Wayne Fontes that he is.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

How crazy is it that a guy who retired BEFORE Ben is coming back?

LOL doesn't this start the 5-yr clock again on Rivers HOF vote? And, no, I don't think Rivers is a HOFer.

But you know Rivers will get in, right?
He's got plenty of empty calorie stats and the media will suck him off because he's coming back to do the Colts a solid.

Everyone will jerk off to this until he gets crushed in his 1st NFL action

What a gauntlet Rivers will face.

Seahwaks ( outscored oppnent 63-9 last two games, 2nd fewest points allowed in NFL )
49ers ( 8th fewest points allowed, only 17 points allowed last two weeks )
Jags ( 11th fewest points allowed only 21 points allowed last two weeks )
Texans ( fewest points and fewest yards allowed, if he makes it to this game, vs. this pass rush, could be horrible for his family to watch )
