Tomlin's not dumb. He always made sure to cater to his stars. Hard to criticize a good guy, much less your friend.
Porter, Ben and others know Tomlin sucks. But they aren't going to say that.
I have a suspicion that Ben tried to get Tomlin fired, and Rooney told him to pound salt. Ben may have skated by, a little, on unreal natural talent but there's no way he couldn't see Tomlin was a clown wasting the backhalf of Ben's career.

I have wondered what the dynamics were with Ben and Teflon.
No way Ben was happy playing for the guy. They would have lost SB43 if Ben didn’t put the offense on his back and drive down the length of the field to pull out the win. That drive was vintage backyard football Ben. NHALS is Ben’s more than anyone’s.
I think Ben will continue to bite his tongue until he gets into Canton. He knows he has a lot of haters out there because of his legal issues, and if he said something controversial, they would immediately drag that up. After he’s in? Prepare for the floodgates to open.
