Post by swissvale72 » Mon Sep 29, 2025 5:57 pm

Don't have the link, but a few surprises

53 offensive snaps....
Muth-15 snaps....he seems to be playing himself outta relevance
Outlier-48 snaps
Connor Heyward 16, jonnu 13
Didn't see snap counts for o line but Spencer Anderson had about 16 snaps I think
Roman Wilson 3 snaps, continues to have least wr snaps

Defense. 76?snaps
Peyton wilson 66 snaps, Holcomb only 10
Peppers...ZERO snaps, after such a solid performance last week
Pierre pressed into action for 23 snaps, acquitted himself well

I wonder if Muth and Smith had less snaps due to trying to run more? Or they were pissed at Muth for the missed block on the FG that was blocked

That was a sad attempt at blocking on the FG

I saw no effort, just complacency

Thanks for the Snaps Swiss.
You know I love looking at these too.

Last year, first 8-10 weeks the Steelers had more Time of Possession and more snap counts week in and week out.

Yesterday and the first 4 games have not been very good to us.

76 defensive snaps to 53 yesterday is another bad trend that will start taking its toll on the defense.

Jets had the ball almost 10 minutes more, 34:43 - 25:17 and 64 plays to 56 ( +1 turnovers )
Seattle won both and the game, 31:17 to 28:43 and 65-62 ( 2 turnovers apiece )
New England won both 33:20 to 26:40 and 74 to 54. ( +4 turnover won us the game )
Minnesota 33:34 to 26:26 and 76 to 53 plays ( +2 turnovers )

Back to back games in which opponent had 20+ more plays.
279 snaps to 225. Thats a big margin the wrong way.

The Steelers are 29th in the NFL in Time of Possession.
Could be alot worse without the turnovers getting the ball back.

Needs to change.
Starts with the run game and run defense.

Both saw little improvements yesterday.
I thought the Vikings gave up on their run game a bit.
