Eagles Cowboys

This game is ridiculously chippy

Dak looking pretty good

The comment about, if the cowboys had extended Parsons, that would have been 40% of their cap space taken up by 3 players.

That’s an excellent point -

If what Nolan Smith did was taunting and will get flagged I might be done with this league for good.

5 drives, no punts. These teams could learn a few things from Mike Tomlin.

Pickens mostly invisible.

Dak doesn’t even seem to be looking his way much.

And his one catch of significance is double clutched and almost dropped.

As great as he can be on deep balls, I just don’t think the guy knows, or wants to know, how to be consistent on the other throws.

I don’t think he gets open on those routes often enough, and I think he makes the routine catches too much of an adventure for a guy with his supposed talent.

9 drives no punts. This is the worse Steelers game in years.

He definitely struggles to get separation and he appears to be not nearly as comfortable on short routes

I think it’s more than just comfort. He did all this stuff in Pittsburgh too. He’ll make an amazing grab downfield, but is invisible otherwise. We all wanted to blame the offense, and the offense has typically been a valid place to point fingers, but I think it’s also a Pickens problem. They’re not mutually exclusive.

Just about every ball he’s caught over the middle since he’s been in NFL has been double clutched, dropped, or made to look way more difficult than it actually is.

I just don’t think he’s a guy who is ever going to be consistent enough to be a 7-8 catch per game guy, or someone you can reliably count on to move the sticks.

I think he’ll always be a guy who makes the occasional amazing catch downfield, but will otherwise be mostly invisible. I don’t think any decent QB will ever fully trust him.

Pickens is more likely to be out of the league entirely in 3 years than to have matured into a complete WR. Guy is a moron.

CeeDee making all that $$$ and dropping balls hitting him in the hands.

Have no fear. Jibbs will certainly be on top of this. His units are elite and highly disciplined.

Yeah, 100% in agreement. I saw them using George a lot in this game to clear things out for Lamb, but even in doing that Pickens does a half-assed job of it, jogging loafing in his routes, not selling it enough.

Just same old Pickens, doesn't matter what helmet he is wearing. And his frustration level will rise as Lamb and hell even Tolbert, Turpin get more targets that George will feel should go to him. The meltdown will come for sure.

Bottom line is that he is a sloppy route runner and may not have what it takes to be a #1 or even a #2 WR. That may seem like blasphemy to say that George can't be a #2 WR, but when your game is so much about winning jump balls/circus catches down the field, how many targets is that going to garner in the course of a game? Can George do routine catches to move the chains occasionally? Consistently?? I highly doubt it. He has so much hype by the media but they are like on drugs from the circus catches that they can't see him clearly as an overall player.

What is the over under on number of games before Pickens throws a hissy fit?

Zero. Barkley wouldn't be doing this with the Giants OL and Giants QB. His resurgence is being used properly, in an offense with amazing other threats, & behind the league's best OL.

Might be -1 after the game CeeDee just put up.

Spot on Scunge.
Only saw end of half and on...
So the little I saw of GP was the same we saw in Pittsburgh. If it was not a pass play, he was slow motion, slugging down field a bit.
He has no idea or no one got into his head that he needs to sell every play, since when he actually runs a hard route, the DBs will realize its a pass play and be more ready for coverage, tight, expecting pass, etc..
He has never improved his craft.
He only needs to master 3-4-5 routes.
If he ran every route with conviction........
He should be wide open on a 7-8 yard out, 90% of the plays.
And instead of half assing on run plays....if he ran that 7 yard out on those plays........12 times a game. another 10 hard curls....
The DBs will be biting on those over the top plays.
He will have so much more room on double moves that he would work off those 12 outs and 10 curls...

Maddening waste of talent.

BTW
CD 13 targets
