Remember when Najee asked Tomlin for some advice/film study and MT blew him off? Pepperidge Farm remembers…

Sure do.
Can't take precious time away from preparing for press conferences to help your rookie 1st round pick.

It’s amazing Jibba has fooled sooooo many for sooo long.
Total fraud and a joke of a HC at this level.
Jibbs would make a great high school coach.
Would make a great college coach in terms of recruiting but like the NFL, would get exposed on the field.

Tomlin...I mean, Coach Mike Tomlin, blew him off that one time, and probably more...
But did he help Najee when he was OBVIOUSLY having problems adapting and succeeding?
He didn't do that, and his RB coach didn't do that. They failed to put him in a place to succeed.
Could it have been as simple as fitting him for Eric Dickerson goggles? Maybe.

Jibbs is all sizzle and no steak.
Nobody gets better under him.
And in the case of Minkah, he went from all-pro stud to invisible dud under Jibba’s “coaching”.

Nah, fuck Najee. Dude was handed a starting job here with no competition, was a blackhole of efficiency and a total disappointment to anyone who wasn’t drinking the kool-aid who had every f’n excuse in the world made for him despite his backup consistently succeeding dramatically more than him for f’n YEARS, and was just handed touch after touch for four years with his spot never challenged and no FA replacement even hinted at being considered for a trash running game and trash offense when damn near everyone else around him was thrown under the bus with glee.
And this dude can’t even wait a week before talking shit about the team that handed him all of that? Yeah, some “leader.” Fuck him.

The Steelers are a fucking mess, poorly coached and Najee sucked. Cannot all be true at the same time?

It can be same. But he had poor coaching, or lack of vision for himself, along with his lack of vision.

Justin Fields now saying he went to NY because of their coach. Jibbs loses again. More and more are seeing him for the fraud that he is.
Not Dunce though. That living in his fears mother fucker would rather carve his eyes out and cut his balls off before he’d want to replace his precious head coach that brings nothing but mediocrity.
Pathetic.

The only one he needs to fool is Art II which he is wildly successful at. The media and rumpswabs are just icing on the cake for him.

Najee sucking and not getting help when he asked aren't mutually exclusive events. Both can be true at the same time

I have to agree with TB that I find Najee's supposed leadership skills to have been sorely lacking.
How many times did he throw his OL under the bus directly in the front of the media?
The guy came off as selfish and immature. He was anointed in Pittsburgh by Tomlin and never had to really prove anything.

He also pointed out how the offense had no leaders after Ben retired.
That is one problem.
The other is that they also don’t have any coaches capable of leading & teaching.
Most dysfunctional org in the NFL at present.
A complete joke.
Hope Rogers retires. Hope that Wilson signs with NY. Hope that Mason goes down in training camp. Hope our starting QB is Scrubs McGillysuck for the entire season.

For his sake, I hope he isn't spending the cash he got on this contract because I bet it might be his last one of real value if he sucks in SD (which I suspect he will)

Perhaps noted leader Justin Herbert can convince Najee to stop trying to jump over 180 pound cornerbacks in the open field. But then what would his identity be?
I never thought I’d go to the darkside but this Rodgers farce is too much. I hope he signs and embarrasses the organization into major changes.

It kind of blew me away that Tomlin was out to dinner during the year with Heyward and some other key defensive guys. He makes friends with the stars and let's them do whatever, and so stars are reluctant to criticize their buddy when it's over.
JAGs like Najee and Fields can be dismissed as simply sour grapes. The one thing Tomlin excels at is shielding himself from criticism.

I get that there weren't a bunch of great veteran leaders on offensive to show him how to be a professional with the Steelers. He wanted more direction from the coaching staff, MT expected him to figure it out.
Now it seems amazing that he has been in San Diego or Los Angeles or Inglewood or wherever the f__k long enough to wipe his ass a few times butt has already determined they have the veteran leadership on the team to satisfy his needs.
OTAs don't even start until April but this clown is raging about how much better the leadership is with the bolts. Did Justin Herbert smile and wave hello to make him feel special. Maybe gave him directions to the vending machines or better yet exit door.
He can't be very intuitive if it took him half the 2024 season to realize he wouldn't be back with the Steelers. He should have gotten the clue when they didn't pick up his 5th year option. Guess you can't blame the guy for being ignorant, he never figured out, whatever he wanted to figure out, when Tomlin to him to go figure it out.
Seem like he just wants people to feel sorry for him.

It'd be funny. I don't like Harris, Mike Tomlin's surrogate son on the team the last 4 years, but he was in fact misused here.
He isn't suited to a zone blocking scheme. He isn't incapable in the passing game. And him gaining bulk every year of his career was insanity. I don't know if that last one changes in LA. If they're smart, they'll have him slim down some.

It would not shock me at all to see Najee have a career year under Harbaugh, you know an actual head football coach. Throw in a franchise qb to boot.

I guess but why did Warren do so much better behind the same scheme / line? Harris isn’t fast. He doesn’t have good vision. And while he is physical the problem is that allows him to turn the occasional 3 yard runs into 7 yard runs but he isn’t ripping off 30 or 40 yard runs. You need splash plays in the running game everyone once in a while. Harris is incapable of that while not bringing the consistency of a power back due to poor vision.

Najee is just like Derek Henry. Not prime-Henry, but 60yr-old Henry (5 steps slower, cataracts and the nimbleness of a Chevy Suburban)
