Russ now a Giant
Only one domino left to fall now. Russ signed 1 year 20 million deal with Giants, guess Rodgers will retire or be a Steeler.

Praying Rodgers retires and the Steelers go with a young guy in the draft for Mason to mentor.
Rodgers and Rudolph will guarantee another season of NHALS.
A rookie and Mason will not.

Like the post, but disagree that Mason can’t (actually confident he would) be a .500 QB in the Steelers system.
Crazy that the Steelers will have probably two top 10 receivers… that will essentially look like bottom feeders.

Yep…I hope he retires. I can’t wait to watch this train wreck.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

That would be a 5th rounder to the Steelers at minimum.
However, up to $21M could make up to a 3rd possible.
We should be rooting for Russ to play a lot and play well.

It's all going according to Tomlin's master plan...

Really wondering now if Pickens is gonna be traded.
Just an opinion but I believe if Rodgers signs, they’ll keep Pickens and try to make a run.
If Rodgers retires and it’s Mason and a rookie, I think the Steelers deal GP to the highest bidder.

Love it.
Rodgers retiring will be fitting, but that would likely mean they reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeach for a QB at 21.

Spotrac has Russ for 1 year $10.5Mil

No. I want them to sign Rodgers, for him to have a banner year and the team fail to make the playoffs or go out in the first round when the defense fails.
Again.
Again.
The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.

I’d be shocked if Pickens actually played for about 1/10 of the salary of the highest paid receiver on the team.K_C_ wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 11:28 pmReally wondering now if Pickens is gonna be traded.

Great. We'll get at least a 4th rd comp pick (probably a 3rd, though, when it's all said and done) for Russ!
Imagine: 2 3rds, 1 4th, and a 5th in comps next year! '26 draft at home will be HUGE!

Exactly why he might need to go. I love George but dude’s gonna go ballistic at some point next season, whether Rodgers is throwing him the ball or it’s someone else.Orlaco wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 11:46 pmI’d be shocked if Pickens actually played for about 1/10 of the salary of the highest paid receiver on the team.

I'm a huge Giant fan now, I want Russ to earn every cent of that contract. The better he does, the better the comp pick becomes.

I will def be rooting for him. He had the team looking 1/2 way o.k. until he was neutered by Dumblin. Here is hoping for a dividend and that the Steelers don't waste it.tbsteel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 11:03 pmhttps://x.com/nickkorte/status/1904668935204856053Nick Korte wrote: For the time being, I'm going to add Russell Wilson into the 2026 compensatory pick database with the guaranteed money that's been reported.

I vaguely recall people on this esteemed website predicting a market for Russell Wilson that would be $40 million per year over multiple years.

As a bitter Steelers' fan, I find this development awesome.
Tomlin's NHALS is now likely wholly dependent on...Aaron Rodgers.
And hope he holds out forever.

Why do I feel like Charles Brown kicking with Lucy holding?!
People keep saying this when it's proven not to be true:
2019 he preserves NHALS with Rudolph and Duck starting 15 games.
2021 preserves NHALS with Ben barely able to move
2022 preserves NHALS with Pickett and Trubisky (almost more impressive than with Rudolph and Duck)
2023 preserves NHALS with Pickett, Trubisky and Mason (maybe THE most impressive)
And last year with Fields and Wilson isn't anything to write home about - 2 QBs who COMBINED don't make top-10 money.
Mason is content to be a hand-off monkey. Combined with what figures to probably be a good enough defense against most teams, NHALS is very much on the table with or without Rodgers.
Here's a bold prediction: Mason saves NHALS again when Rodgers gets injured or sucks.
