Tomlin doubling down
Didn't he say there were alot of changes coming up?
Meyer retained.
Austin retained.
Watt extension.
Possibly bringing back one of the 2 qb's from last year who both sucked.
Now he wants Harris back.
Fuck me.

Harris back with the quality of replacements available in April is malpractice.Stlcrtn1974 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 3:35 amDidn't he say there were alot of changes coming up?

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Art has faith in Coach Mike, he's oblivious. This media release came after Coach was given an A+ by his barely high-school educated "players"...curious.
Tomlin is so crazy he might be spiting all his detractors at this point. But, is he that intelligent...not sure.
Winning season>quit>limp to playoffs>quit and lose badly>party time

Agreed. But Fraudlins ego will stay undefeated and he’ll prob bring him back. Hopeful some other dumbfuck GM will overpay him and they won’t get a deal done. Along with some more of Fraudlins stupidity:Ice wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 3:45 amHarris back with the quality of replacements available in April is malpractice.Stlcrtn1974 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 3:35 amDidn't he say there were alot of changes coming up?

Soooooo much change! (Insertjerkoffmotionhere)
this is getting to be very Pirates like
did anyone really think Tomlin was going to "change"
and that they dont have exactly the type of team and staff that he wants
the current state of affairs isnt a mistake or a fluke
it is by design -- weak and controllable coaches, players content to play TOP simple football -- shut up and get paid, rinse and repeat plan that doestn require much planning or analysis ... this is a business team not a football team
the only question is -- is Rooney bamboozled or perfectly content to also get paid and screw the brand his predecessors built

This is very Disney like
Art is Iger
Tomlin is Kathleen Kennedy
The Force is Female
The Standard is the Standard
At least Disney finally led her out the door

Prob is that the fuckin idiot art II sees this as IS the brand his predecessors built, all defense and ground game. The dumb fuck prob forgets that it was the Steelers passing game that prevailed in 78 & 79Gonzo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 2:48 pmthis is getting to be very Pirates like

this may very well be correct -- and would fit what we are seeing. You are right that THE STEELERS isnt ground and pound TOP and i dont know when that became the prevalent myth. it was more tough and a bit wild characters, innovative and winning by any means necessaryswissvale72 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 7:18 pmProb is that the fuckin idiot art II sees this as IS the brand his predecessors built, all defense and ground game. worst part is they arent even a very good ground and pound D team and their players are mostly faux-tough/soft -- which tells me they dont really believe the BS they are spouting.
maybe the real then and now difference is substance versus bullshit -- tomlin and art II are by nature full of shit.
this current steelers version has no substance -- that is a direct reflection of its leaders

Wait it looks like Kennedy really is Mike Tomlinette, more secure than the Pope.

And she's probably keeping all the yes birthing persons of color around her that kiss her ass.
Too funny. She's literally cost Disney billions in revenue.
Just like Coach Mike has cost the Steelers millions and Super Bowls.
Will Coach have the balls to do a gender swap on starting QB?

And Ben coming out throwing against the Colts and Broncos in 05.
It’s why he’s earned the Dunce moniker.
I read the thread title as Tomlin dumbling down. What I thought I saw was more accurate.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

I’d add OC Ken Whisenhunt as well.955876 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 2:21 amAnd in 95 with the 5-wide.swissvale72 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 7:18 pmProb is that the fuckin idiot art II sees this as IS the brand his predecessors built, all defense and ground game. Some fun gadgetry with Hines and Antwan Randel-El

At minimum, Pat Meyer and Teryl Austin should have been relieved of their duties
The Steelers are not a serious organization and haven’t been for over a decade
Hell, Matt Canada would still be here if it weren’t for signs literally all over the country calling for his firing

maybe if the media started calling out this “myth” dunce would pay attention … this is NOT the steelers brand … they are NOT tough, they don’t run the ball well and their D is mediocre although well-paid.
comparing this version of tomlins steelers to the previous successful teams is an insult and a bad joke

Deuce is going to do a solid for Tomlin's coaching tree by making Austin the next HC!Steeldrama wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 3:25 pmAt minimum, Pat Meyer and Teryl Austin should have been relieved of their duties

That’s what it should be changed to for sure !!

Remember when Cowher dumped OCs and DCs who weren't that good and didn't keep them around?
It did happen, I'm pretty sure.
