It probably doesn't make a difference, but Russ is the main reason we lost to Baltimore last time. Why not give Fields a shot? It can at least throw a wrench into the Ravens prep. Fields matches up favorably agains them. Now is the time.

Let us all bow our heads in prayer that Russ wakes up this week, goes to take a piss, and feels a new twinge in his calf that keeps him out of the lineup.

Is Fields going to go out there and pick apart the Ravens secondary? Obviously unlikely, but we still don't know what he can do with Mike Williams bookending George Pickens. I can totally see Fields's running ability generating just enough big plays for us to take advantage of a Lamar choke job.

If Fields doesn't get the start, there has to be a house cleaning.

I think Fields should get packages especially in short yardage and on literally any 4th and 1 he HAS TO be in the game but ridin’ with Russ is the way to go.

Russ wasn’t great yesterday but about 8 drops are why the Steelers lost and Pickens not giving a fuck.

Russ blew the game with the final 4 plays man cmon! Plus he is a liability in the pocket now. The escapability is gone except for the occasional (1/25 times) flash. He is hurting the team. The drops could be overcome without trash performance from Russ.

Pickens was supposed to run a double move deep outside route to get to the sideline and stop the fucking clock.

Pickens instead, likely intentionally, ran a double move deep inside route for no fucking apparent reason and Freiermuth, who had one helluva game, dropped a pass in field goal range that Boz would have had one helluva shot at if he could have gotten down quick.

Pickens fucked Russ all night long like a $2 whore.

Austin had a big drop and another he probably should have caught.

Dan Moore was a goddamn turnstile (it's like Moore and Broderick Jones decide before the game which of them is going to suck worse.)

.....and the play calling was fucking ridiculously awful.

At this point, after we likely lose next week in Baltimore, I would seriously consider keeping Fields over Russ because of his youth and upside (and if we're going to continue running this caveman, damn near single wing style offense), but Russ was not the reason we lost yesterday's game.

If any receivers other than Freiermuth step up, Russ probably wins that one for us.

I think they do, but are being held hostage over some underlying social mantras. Or they simply do not care, this is the business model to maximize their profits.
