Raiders week. 46 games left
I'm struggling to come up with something here. I am like a few other posters here to where I almost don't even give a fuck anymore. Watching the same bullshit year after year for well over a decade has wore me out.
This game will be similar to yesterday's game, possibly pulling out a 2 point victory, but more then likely it will end in lose.
46 more games left with this asshole, it will be here before you know it.

Yeah, but only 29 games left until his next extension, so we have that to look forward to!Stlcrtn1974 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:44 pmI'm struggling to come up with something here. It’s actually 63 more games with Tomlin, 65 if you count the first round playoff losses.Stlcrtn1974 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 1:44 pmI'm struggling to come up with something here. I'm going to say it again... because maybe one day, someone who has a lot more exposure and influence with the Steelers fan base than my dumb ass- will pick up the baton and run with it
The only way to get ARII, to fire Tomlin, is if the stands are empty
If people stop showing up to the games, Cowardly Art will hopefully get the message
there needs to be some sort of concerted effort and organization, to get the fans to stay home.
That's about all that can be done
Edit: So if you write for any of the Steeler media sites, I'm talking about you
Spread the message to your buddies at the other media sites-
Organize the date. Do it for multiple games.
That's it

It's not the stands being empty- it's public perception that's important to Eddie Munsteranpsteel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 3:03 pmI'm going to say it again... because maybe one day, someone who has a lot more exposure and influence with the Steelers fan base than my dumb ass- will pick up the baton and run with it

If you start chanting "fire Tomlin" at games and holding up signs, he'll take notice.
The only reason Canada got fired were the chants in the stands and even at Penguins games. Once that happened, Deuce took action. It's not a coincidence.

because
A. I think empty stands would absolutely do it
B. I don't think the fans chanting was what did it- I think it was the national sports media and former players speaking out.
So until former well regarded players start talking about how lame Tomlin is, we are stuck

I can't believe I'm gonna say this...cuz I think Elon musk is a TOTAL fuckin asshole. But he was at the game last night, right?? Maybe HE buys the Steelers, puts his penchant for firing people to work right away. Cuz....there's no fuckin way, like ZERO, that the douchebag Art II will EVER fire Mike Tomlin. Been saying it for years, Tomlin has better job security than the fuckin pope.
The Steelers (and most NFL owners) could literally play in an empty stadium and still make millions of dollars of profit.anpsteel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 4:23 pmI'll give you a maybe on thatDeebo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 3:08 pmIt's not the stands being empty- it's public perception that's important to Eddie Munsteranpsteel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 3:03 pmI'm going to say it again... because maybe one day, someone who has a lot more exposure and influence with the Steelers fan base than my dumb ass- will pick up the baton and run with it

Why? Bc NFL owners get their coin from TV contracts, not in person ticket sales/concessions/parking.
Sure it's a good chunk of coin, but it's a cherry on top of a 3 scoop sundae that already has caramel, chocolate and sprinkles.
But I suppose that ties into my point: an empty stadium would hurt the image and that would cause Art II to make changes
The Steelers ownership, specifically the Rooney's are in the very bottom in terms of wealth. (They aren't last, but awfully close to it.) So that in game revenue absolutely means something to them.Deebo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 5:18 pmThe Steelers (and most NFL owners) could literally play in an empty stadium and still make millions of dollars of profit.anpsteel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 4:23 pmI'll give you a maybe on thatDeebo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 3:08 pm
