One of the best Steelers of all time and made the greatest play in SB history.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
His wallet still says "Bad Motherfucker"
Yeah. And that play was against type. One reason he was in such a great position to intercept that pass is that Warner expected him to be rushing. Amazing play. Remember how he ran out of gas and kind of collapsed in the end zone?
Yep. I watch that play every time it's posted. Never will get old. Fitz running through the sideline and never giving up trying to get to him shows you how what kind of heart he has too.

I have been bummed because season 2 of Heels is taking so long to air. Supposedly sometime this summer/late summer? Fall?
Anyway, James Harrison plays the wrestler Apocalypse and does a great job. This show is about a small professional wrestling outfit and the kayfabe of wrestling. I highly recommend it.

Instrumental in changing the game from what it was to what’s it’s become in terms of the “softening” of football.
Unfairly targeted by the league as well. Shame.
Great player for us. Would have been even better had the league not allowed the tackles that faced him to get away with holding as often as they did.

My favorite Steeler the past 20 years. Happy Birthday James!

One of the greatest plays ever, and inspired an SNL skit as well.
Nearly a week after the game, a still out-of-breath Harrison was asked what he was thinking while the record-setting 100-yard interception was unfolding ...
"Oh God, no! Somebody tackle me, please ... I mean, end this! How long can 100 yards be?"
