Listening to the first podcast as we speak (finally) - Around the 22 minute mark you guys are talking about the Safety situation and why they didn't resign Edmunds. Khan is on record saying that Edmunds turned down their offer because he wanted a fresh start with a new team.

Thanks for this fellas, excellent content.

Though PS only have 7 picks, think Perch is right that 1st pick in 2nd feels like it can be milked for extra picks from a desperate team.

Only prospect really disagree with you lot on...Christian Gonzales. I see the athlete do not see the football player. If PS traded up for him, I would get that oh for fucks sake feeling I had when they did so for Bush.

@steelclan hes like watching Deion from the waist down. Gonzalez hips are crazier than Shakira. His flips and rotates his hip while running at full speed and never slows down.

He just an effortless mover.

Now is he Rod Woodson or Mel Blount? No. But he doesn’t panic. Changes directions at full speed. Has good length. Makes a ton of tackles that stop runners, not ones that necessarily look spectacular but the stop runners before the end zone/first down, etc.

I get how he looks movement wise, that isn't the concern, the worry for me is how he actually covers. In that Georgia game he repeatedly got lost in zone coverage to the point he looked like a Deer in Headlights. If that was his lone bad game, then fine but it wasn't. In Utah game, again struggled to pick up tertiary routes and far too often ended up covering no one. Even in his best game v Colorado he struggled at times to anticipate routes and pick up receivers in zone. In games I watched (5) this became a recurring theme.

Then in press man, when he his in good position and that isn't as consistent as it needs to be for top 10 DB prospect he has real issues at the catch point. Perhaps a strength issue...Overall, I see a highly athletic player with great tools that struggles to translate them to the field. Not saying he can't do so and reach his ceiling but it is going to take work.

It will take a team that is good at coaching up DBs. PS are not that team. I also don't think it is going to happen in year 1, if he goes to the Iggles at 10 and sits behind Slay and Bradbury? That would be his best fit. If he goes earlier to Lions (I don't buy into hype, they play in shit conference), Falcons or another team with holes that need immediate returns? I believe he will struggle.

To put it into perspective. He gave up a passer rating of 74 (approx) and that included a few gimme Ints. That was his best season in coverage. That does not scream can't miss, blue chip prospect, it at least to me says: great athlete with great tools who has yet to come close to brining that shiny package to the field.

He is the Trayvon Walker of the DB group. Then again this is my opinion and frankly you know far more than I. Especially considering I spend most of my sports energy evaluating rugby union players. My favorite DB in this class? Darius Rush which shows you I don't know shit :)

aw hell no you're all good

I like Rush a lot. He was dynamite at the Senior Bowl practices, for one thing.

My top 5 CBs right now are:

1. Gonzalez
2. Brents
3. Withersppon
4. Darius Rush
5. DJ Turner

JPJ is right there around 5. Turner behind JPJ as a pure outside guy but is more versatile in styles.

I don't particularly care for Banks and I'm cooler on JPJ than some... so that's probably who they'll pick.

I guess i would tier the CBs on a “i would be happy if we drafted him there” basis.

I would be happy if we drafted him at 17:
Gonzalez
Witherspoon

I would be happy at 32:
JPJ
Brents

I would be happy at 49:
Ringo
Banks
Trice
Turner
Jaylon Jones
Cam Smith
I could see Rush in this tier, he’s not someone i’ve looked at much so far tho.

That's pretty good. I'd have Rush and Tyrique in the 32 group but below those other two and above the 49 group

Actually it was just Korey Karbala using his telepathic powers. The Force is strong in that one.

Fixing it now. Thanks for letting me know
