Steelers SBI Tonight
Root for Detroit. A Detroit win moves the Steelers draft slot from 18 to 17. Otherwise, Pittsburgh will have the worst draft slot of any non-playoff team.
Pittsburgh will either have picks:
17-32-48
or
18-32-49
in the first two rounds

they can trade back and add more picks
Maybe it’s SBI
Been watchign ton of NFL last two weeks and there has been IMHO some really shitty, sloppy, stale play by a bunch of teams.
Not just the dregs but supposedly good ones too. Bad play and surprisingly shitty plan in important games

Also Steelers get home game vs loser of this game as well, I’d much rather face the Packers than the Lions next season, the Lions are gonna be a damn good team next year.
That was a wild ass play. Quick pass followed by a quick pitch back.

Interesting parallels between the 2 conferences.
Both win and in teams lost - Pats and Pack
Both win and need one team to lose played a crappy team, barely won and got the 7 seed. Phins and Seahags.
Both teams needing to win and have 2 teams lose win their games but fell on slot short.
The Steelers and Lions are playing the best football right now of the non playoff teams and both are playing better than the 7 seeds. But neither did enough earlier in the season and that's how it works. Lions were 1-6 and Steelers were 2-6 and both finished 9-7 so at least they are both trending in the right direction.

The packers cannot eat a 99 million dollar dead cap hit. After the '23 season the dead cap hit is "only" 24 million. so that is a little more doable.

On the contrary.
If they eat that cap hit this year and super duper tank like Indy after Peyton, then the reward is rebuilding around Maye or Caleb Williams with a fresh cap. They could do it. You just trade away any older players for whom you can get return and start a bad QB.

Yep, but that has nothing to do with Rodgers deciding to retire or not. I’m not saying he will, just that it’s possible.
The standard is the standard!
Gotcha.
Even if he does retire, GB will have to keep him on the active roster solely because that cap hit is so severe.
On B2B's proposal - there's a big problem with doing that:
Green Bay is already $9.5m over next year's projected cap. Toss in another $68m for cutting Rodgers, and you're $77m over. At that point, if the Packers released every single player on the roster that would save $, they'd still be $30m over the cap.
