General Thoughts
My first poast declaring my side in the war of words with all yinz asshats. Agree or disagree I don’t give a fuck cause I work at a bank...
Art2 - only cares about mediocre results as long as his pockets are lined.
Tomlin - complete fraud. Bug eyed baffoon who no longer has a single Cowher player left to save his sorry ass.
Canada - should be arrested for impersonating a professional OC
Austin - jury is out. Can’t tell if he can make a great meal yet with the sack of shit he was given as groceries.
Pickett - nice guy - tries hard and has confidence. I’ll hold back my enthusiasm until he gets a real WR corps to work with and can throw at least one TD pass. He’s light years ahead of Bitch though...
Claypool - pussy - can’t catch a pass without falling down. God forbid he gets two hands on the ball and still lets defenders get an INT. Go back to hockey.
DJ - mental lapses - will never be a #1 or a #2 receiver. Maybe not even a #3 if he can’t learn how to catch a ball and stay in bounds. His best move is running back to the line of scrimmage and circling back upfield. Fuck that and fuck him.
Pickens - the only real receiver on the team. Let this rookie play and play A LOT.
Freiermuth poor mans Miller - and to make it worse the kid is just one hit away from a career ending injury.
Harris - big fat slow and zero vision. If he’s injured he shouldn’t be playing if he’s not injured he needs to get on with his life work. First round pick wasted.
OL - not as bad as last year but still a dumpster fire
DL - everyone not named Heyward fucking sucks
OLB - Watt is injury prone. Yeah he’s a special player but the best ability is availability. Everyone else is only good for titty fighting.
ILB - Bush should have to give back every dime he’s stolen from the organization. I’ve never seen a weaker LB play the game. Does he even suit up for game day? I can’t tell from the stat sheet. Everyone else? Suck suck and more suck
CB - hot garbage. Minka is the only player who plays and that’s prob because he wasn’t tainted as a rookie by Tomlin & Co.
ST - Boz - get it together. As of now you’re the only hope the Steelers have of scoring any points.
Embrace the suck fellas. I’m not sure when we’ll see the light of day until Art2 decides the product is more important than his bottom line and fires Tomlin, decides to give the scouting department a real NFL payroll and puts a stop to signing family members to the team for feels...

I been around since the old Stillers days. The Gildong report drew me in over there and the message boards kept me around. After the split and relocation I been lurking here off and on. I was Reinventing The Steel back then aka RTS. I know a lot of the posters here but I doubt many will remember me cause I didn’t post all that much.

Now this is the type of poast I can get behind!!!
BTW, I too used to work at a bank.

I remember you RTS. Those Gildong write-ups were classics. I never worked at a bank....used to date a gal that worked at one...so I was keen on those night deposits.Works At A Bank wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 6:56 pmI been around since the old Stillers days. The works at a bank is an old running joke. There was someone (can’t remember their user name) that claimed they were intelligent because they worked at a bank. The use of the word poast is also a throwback running joke lol
I’m fine with our OL strangely. The left side is bad, but not terrible.
Our CBs…i mean, what team is happy with their CBs when their top 3 are out or only in for a couple dozen snaps/game?
Like 9 of our top 13 defensive players missed time for injury this past game. And one of the four healthy was Bush. They were terrible, but that doesn’t bother me.
The offense was healthy, generally executed the plays that were called, and were still awful. That’s my problem.

To get back on topic: the whole franchise is in shambles from top to bottom. When the media is claiming NHALS as the standard then that became the standard. Mediocrity. We’re Steelers fans. Being mediocre is for losers. At least when everyone was complaining about Cowher they were complaining about him not being able to win AFCC games. Now being north of .500 is suppose to be impressive? Fuck them and fuck that.
In retrospect the Shazier injury was the beginning of the dark days. His injury is still echoing throughout the franchise and the two dolts in charge haven’t a clue how to dig out this hole. Too bad Dan isn’t around to show these imbeciles how it’s done. Build the Oline and Dline with the draft. If you need a splash player or two then FA. Football is won and lost in the trenches. Football 101

If you take out the big plays against the Bills, the defense was actually quite sound.

The suck is on so many levels. I think the Oline has improved but they have a loooong ways to go. Losing Munchak was a huge loss a few years ago and while I have zero evidence to support this I can’t help but feel he left with a “fuck this shit” attitude.Mick wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 7:57 pmI’m fine with our OL strangely. Defense is banged up because the offense is trying to set records for 3 and outs in a single season. Which brings us back to Canada being a fucking tool who has no business being a professional OC.
It’s all one big fat catch 22 with the same two culprits in play - Art2 and Tomlin. Both masters of bullshit and neither can deliver when the money is on the table. Remind me again of Tomlins playoff record the past 10 years? I blame Tomlin more than anyone but Art2 is right there with him. He enables the wordsmith to bedazzle everyone.

Honestly, it's hard to tell with plodding, indecisive Najee. And the ball still coming out pretty quick from the QB.
Their massive shortcomings still show on 3rd and short, and 3rd and long when the QB needs an extra second for the play to develop.

Yes... and if you took away Willie Parker's long runs, he only averaged a couple yards per carry.lifelongsteel wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 8:14 pmIf you take out the big plays against the Bills, the defense was actually quite sound.
Hard to get injured when all you do is prance around like a fairy all game. And one of the four healthy was Bush.
The next time he lays the wood will be his first.
Damn disgrace to the uniform as well as Steelers LBs that have come before him.

And now that I think of it, I briefly worked for a bank.

So many Steelerfury/Stillers memes in one thread. I remember you, RTS. Welcome back, and I agree with every one of your points in your poast. And, I just began my 17th year working in a bank.
