Door slammers Wk 6 Bucs
- Mike Tomlin. Had the entire team ready to bang as huge underdogs. Won with one of the lesser QBs in the league coming of the bench with little practice. Nice work coach Tomlin
- Mitch Trubisky. Had the best outing all year for any Steeler QB by far coming off the bench in concussion relief. Made several key throws and clutch plays with tight low arc accurate throws that allowed his receivers to haul in passes safely. Never gonna be an all-star but today he made the plays to win the game
- Steelers D. I debated whether they deserved it or not giving up that late TD but they did stop the 2pt and overall kept a potent HOF QB offense outta the end zone. Nice job. Keep going in that direction

Ken Pickett
Led a first drive TD and a lead we never relinquished.

This was Kenneth’s best game. Unfortunately overall it was still pretty bad. He has a long way to go before he is awarded the highly coveted Dorrie
We still have not seen consistent accuracy or a powerful arm. I think those 2 things are his biggest problem areas.
It’s hard not to like the guy but at the same time I’m consistently left wondering if we are dooming ourselves to a long painful slow death if the Steelers continue to commit to him beyond this year. It’s particularly worrisome when that kind of heretofore unwarranted devotion would likely mean passing up better talent.

I debated Claypool carefully. I want to see him do well. All individual awards in football are at least a little dubious. However at the end of the day although he was involved on some notable key catches I felt they were somewhat expected given Trubisky’s excellent ball placement and ultimately that’s what stood out on those plays to me. Trubisky made high quality difficult throws at really key momentsKodiak. wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 12:26 amSteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 11:22 pmClaypool also did well but not enough for a Doorie

The Doories are about moments and impact on outcome as much as anything

Bush was the doorslammer.
Stopped the 2-point conversion solidifying the win.

I considered that however a genuine door slam doesn’t keep the game highly in doubt at that moment in addition to the fact Bush is still far too soft overallbeerbrother wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 1:02 amBush was the doorslammer.

It was a key play I will give him that

Not a fan of the prancing fairy however he did prance himself into position to stop Tom Brady's last scoring attempt at Acurisure or whatever they call the place now.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 1:27 amI considered that however a genuine door slam doesn’t keep the game highly in doubt at that moment in addition to the fact Bush is still far too soft overallbeerbrother wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 1:02 amBush was the doorslammer.
