There B Hope!!! SBI!!
Other than the giants not able to upset the chargers, which no one expected, today went as well as one could have hoped from an SBI perspective. In close-ass games, with all three teams we neeednto have won, seemingly determined to cede multi-score leads and give the game away, ravens, bungs, and bill all lost.
Now, should the Steelers finish 9-7-1, chances are reasonably good they'll make the dance.
If four of the five 7-6 teams split, Steelers would be in. Who are they?
-Colts should lose to NE and at AZ
-browns need only lose one as long as we beat them. They host LAR and GB and CIN
-bungs are at DEN, host ravens and chiefs, at Cleve
-raiders at Cleve, den, at Indy, lac
-den hosts cin, at lar, at lac, KC
-bills host Carolina, atl and Jets, at NE
Next week sBI is clowns winning again, pats over colts, Denver over bungs, Carolina over bills
I'm predicting wild cards as Bill at 10-7, chargers, steelers

I hope like hell they abandon whatever the fuck it is they're trying to do in the first 3 quarters of the game. That shit is not going to cut it next month.
That being said, I like our chances of getting there.

I would like to see some changes.
1. Whether it is Tomlin's fault or players' selfishness, the mental errors and stupid stuff needs to stop.
2. Whether it is the coaches play calling or players not executing the plays, something needs to change.
Here We Go Steelers!
Play like we know you are capable of playing.

"Tomlin's fault or players' selfishness". C'mon man, wake up. This is a common theme for a decade now.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 11:41 amI would like to see some changes.

We are never prepared early on, specifically in big games.
In regards to the first three quarters of the game. I mean we need to pull a Costanza and do the opposite of whatever pops into their heads first.
We need to come out slow and lethargic, at home, vs the Titans to set the tone for a possible 4th quarter comeback when we are down by multiple scores.

Whatever we have to do to set up a chance for our all world EDGE player to win the game in the end.
THAT is how you win in the modern NFL.

Formula is proven, obviously if you will….I point to this:Orangesteel wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 3:55 pmWhatever we have to do to set up a chance for our all world EDGE player to win the game in the end.

I have been saying for a long time,
The Steelers lose more games before kick off than any team in football.
Worst prepared team in the NFL.
OTA's, camp, Pre-season, scheme, game planning, play design, personnel, who starts, depth, snap count allocation, pre game warm ups, mental focus, distracted, play calling, poor tackling, playing with an edge, lack of urgency, tempo or change of tempo, element of surprise, hurry up, execution, penalties, down and distance predictability, 3rd and short bombs, U shaped offense, lack of plays to middle of field, accountability, time out and clock management, leadership,............ lack of realizing the game needs to change, understanding the game is getting away, run run, run, punt down big late in game, kicking FG's down big late in game, punting down big late in games, understanding the clock is our enemy, understanding the game is heading towards an "L"
That starts at the top.
Ask yourself this - what does this team excel at?
13 games into the season.
The Steelers have scored 272 points...................
Only 98 points in the first half of games, that is an average of 7.5 points per game.
That may be deceiving, since we have score 3 points or less in the first half..................in 5 of our 13 games Wow.
3 first half points or less.................... in 5 of our 13 games.
Does this mean we were out game planned, out schemed, out played, less physical team and basically, not prepared to play football to start the game.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures.
We have score 133 of our 272 points in the 4th quarter. Wow. 49% of our points came in the 4th quarter of games.
139 points in the first 3 quarters and 133 points in 4th quarters.

Its a week to week league.
More teams than not, play good cop, bad cop week to week.
I can certainly see 4 of the 5 ( 7-6 ) teams splitting.
One foot in front of the other - beat the Titans.
Titans, Browns and Ravens -all winnable games.
KC will be tuff.
9-7-1 is possible.

Man, I’m traditionally part of the Ride or Die crew.
But I just can’t anymore.
As bad as Stosh’s stats look, they’re far worse in the playoffs.
Meaning that even if we do claw our way in, all trends point to us getting our doors blown off…again.
Another mediocre season with another bad playoff season only gets us yet another season of this same regime.
I’m at the point where I get legitimately pissed when we win.
If it takes rock bottom to get required changes, then rock bottom is what I feel I have to root for.
And maybe one rock bottom season isn’t enough. Maybe it takes 2-3. Even if that’s the case, then we need to get that ball rolling now.
