Stones at Heinz
Stones at Heinz
I'll be going to Heinz Monday night to see some way over the hill geriatrics perform -- oh wait. They actually can hold up their legendary status. Hell, one of them is dead and can still play better than the Steelers OL.
Anyway we're coming from NY on the weekend and looking for suggestions on where to watch the Steelers on Sunday. We'll be at PNC for the Pirates final game. It's Fan Appreciation (sic) Day, so at least might get some swag. But will look to get out by 4pm. Where's a good place nearby that won't be suicidal by the end of first half?

Saw the Stones at the Civic Arena. June 66. 5 bucks for a ticket. Brian Jones still alive. Paint It Black the current hit. Mick having trouble with his mic (or pretending to) shortens the set. Package tour--common at the time-- with Standells, Mccoys and that one hit band that did New York's a Lonely Town (When You're the Only Surfer Around).
Bill Austin had the Steelers ready for a 5-8-1 season. I had season tickets
Deja everything.

Here I see the title of the thread and think:
Did Mike Tomlin grow a pair? Maybe the Steelers collectively did? <shrug>

I saw the title and thought it was referring to our receiving corps…Texas Steel wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 5:51 pmHere I see the title of the thread and think:

I saw Zeppelin in 1975 for $9. Nine fucking dollars and people were complaining.
Last time I saw the Stones was 1999 at the Igloo. Great show, lots of energy. Played three hours with a 15 minute break in the middle.

I'd like to see them call it a day after this tour - with Charlie gone it's the right thing to do. Keith was the first to say he was the heart of the band.
