But why is my question.
I liken it to the draft. What I mean is the draft was great. People planned their weekends accordingly, had friends over, grilled etc. Then, the greedy fucks ruined the draft for many.
For me personally, the pro bowl was a way of life. An annual signal to get together with my best friend one last time and enjoy seeing all the best players and watch the very last game of that season. We’d reminisce, have a beer and some food almost ritualistic in nature putting a close to the season.
Again, said fucks are ruining this too. They’re trying to make it an actual game that counts and it’s just not that.

In the 80s ...it appeared to be a decent product. The last one I watched Barry Switzer was eating a hotdog and it was like flag football.
I am 47 and I guess too old to appreciate video game type scoring.

9 Steelers lead their positions in AFC Pro Bowl votes

The Pittsburgh Steelers led the NFL with 10 Pro Bowl selections in 2017. It appears that the Steelers will be well represented at the Pro Bowl once again in 2018. On Wednesday, Steelers' PR/Media Manager Dom Rineli stated on Twitter that nine Steelers' players currently lead their respective positions in AFC Pro Bowl voting. Pittsburgh's players that are leading their positions in votes include wide receiver Antonio Brown, running back James Conner, fullback/special teams ace Roosevelt Nix, left tackle Alejandro Villanueva, right guard David DeCastro, center Maurkice Pouncey, outside linebacker T.J. Watt, inside linebacker Jon Bostic and kicker Chris Boswell.
Brown is in line to receive his seventh Pro Bowl selection. Through 10 games, Brown leads the NFL with 11 touchdown receptions. He also has 62 receptions for 807 yards and is on pace to eclipse 100 catches in a season for the sixth consecutive year. Brown's performance this past Sunday -- catching five passes for 117 yards and a score -- helped the Steelers defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars to improve to 7-2-1 on the season after a 1-2-1 start.
Conner has been rock solid this season while filling in for Le'Veon Bell as the Pittsburgh Steelers' starting running back. Through 10 games, Conner has rushed for 796 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 4.6 yards per carry. The reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Month, Conner has also caught 45 passes for 411 yards that included a crucial touchdown catch in Pittsburgh's Week 9 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Overall, Conner has amassed 1,207 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first 10 games as a starter while proving that he is certainly capable of being Pittsburgh's starting running back for the long haul.
Nix and Villanueva are in line to receive their second consecutive Pro Bowl selections, while DeCastro, a Pro Bowler each of the last three seasons, has become arguably the best right guard in the NFL. This past offseason, Pro Football Focus named him the Offensive Lineman of the Year after he checked in at No. 44 on the NFL Network's annual Top 100 List.
Another perennial Pittsburgh Pro Bowl player is Pouncey, who has made the Pro Bowl in each of his six healthy season with the Steelers. While Pouncey is primed to make his seventh Pro Bowl team, Watt is slated to make his first Pro Bowl roster as he currently leads the Steelers with 10.0 sacks this season. And despite his early season struggles, Boswell, who has made 8 out of his 11 field goal attempts and 31 of his 35 field goal tries, leads all AFC kickers in Pro Bowl votes. Bostic, who was signed to help fill Ryan Shazier's absence, as he currently has 62 tackles, 2.5 sacks and three passes defensed this season. Bostic is in line to make the Pro Bowl for the first time in his six-year career.
Steelers fans can continue voting for their favorite players until Dec. 13.
Bostic getting some love.

Joe Haden should be a slam-dunk lock for Pro Bowl.
