I freaking hate the way Tomlin speaks.
Obviously.
But actually I fucking hate it.
"Varsity, possesion downs, we accept that, in stadiums, we acknowledge that, and many many more, obviously "
I know all coaches talk in cliches but I have never heard another coach talk like Omar Epps does.

I liked it for the first few years. It seemed refreshing and weirdly accountable.
But after those few years, the repetitiveness of his talking in circles and never actually saying anything got old, tired, and stale.
Now it is just fucking unbearable.

He just throws in extra words. Most of them don't even make sense.
It tricked a lot of people for a long time...once you catch on he just sounds like an asshole.....like those people that try to write professionally in an email but don't understand the words.

The guy tries to sound smart and cool at the same time.
He’s neither.
He’s neither.

His rhetoric is obvious to those who've followed him for years. It has to be maddening to any educated media person in the room.
Is Tomlin the Jessie Jackson of NFL coaches? Maybe... If so, the scary part is look how long Jessie has been able to sick around and get paid.

When the team was winning, his schtick was endearingly quirky.
Now it is simply annoying.
That’s the way it goes if you have a quirky personality.

I have never liked it
Its quite the opposite of smart or cool
It’s verbal diarrhea

If you actually listen to or read the words that come out of that hole under his nose you can easily realize he is a fucking imbecile.

Like that guy in the room that speaks louder than everyone else cutting off anyone wanting to interject any sense because he's the smartest guy in the room, in his own mind. I guess when you look at it closely, Tomlin is the smartest guy in the room. He has a job for life. Millions per year salary. Doesn't have to be accountable for a subpar product. Simply has to throw together some simplistic yet pseudo-intellectual sentences explaining away the failure and wala... Millionaire extraordinaire.

Ehhh I don't actually believe this. I honestly believe Tomlin has a smart football mind.
His issue is twofold:
1) He's not hungry anymore
2) Because he's not hungry anymore, the players see right through that and walk all over him. AND they don't put forth the time/effort needed to to be successful NFL players because their leader doesn't do it himself
Tomlin and the Steelers need a change. It'd be beneficial for both parties. I think Tomlin getting fired would humble him and he'd get that passion reignited for another franchise

What is truly sad is that Damon Wayans would be throttled by the SJWs for that sketch and most of the sketches (Homey, Men on Film, the homeless guy, Homeboy Shopping Network) he did in 1991. If you go to watch those vids on YouTube they hold up pretty well.

I don't buy the hunger issues one bit. He is the exact same coach he has been from the day he arrived. His hunger hasn't changed. His approach hasn't change. His stupid comments haven't changed.
What has changed is that he has gotten stale and his ineptitude has gradually been exposed more and more. He inherited a veteran team with veteran leadership. They bought his snake oil. Then little by little, year after year, the veterans faded away and the new leaders emerged. Unfortunately, they only had snake oil to keep them going.
I do agree, however, that he needs to go.

Tomlin also inherited a nearly intact coaching staff from Cowher including the entire defensive staff adding only Perry.
The dominant defense in that run had nothing to do with him.
