We scored too many points too soon. Need to make it harder Arthur !!

Steelers are the first NFL team with two TE's who ran for TD's in the same game in 50 years!!!!1

Tua's contract is the worst thing since the Angels Pujols contract

It’s worse than that. That streak is the overall team stat.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 1:48 am64 straight games without scoring more than 7 points in first quarter
FIRE MIKE TOMLIN
However, the last time they scored 10 points in the 1st quarter there was a pick 6 by the defense. Offense only had a FG.
It’s been like 89 games since the offense has scored more than 7 points in the 1st.

Did you not see what you just saw?
They are awful IMHO.
Tia is awful. We are not that good and just made them look horrid. They still can’t play in the cold. They had one of the easiest schedules in the league. Went 1 and 6 to start. We basically played our mirror image with us having a better QB.

Yes for about 1 and 3/4 quarters….and then they fizzled out.
Almost a mirror image of us usually, except they did have more people laying the wood than we do. And they seemed more adept at preventing the run…stringing it along and stopping the run in the flats with aplomb…reminded me of what Troy always did to RBs heading to the flats. But it was short lived. Probably a different outcome in Miami.
Video evidence of the Fins not giving a shit and quitting. Did McDaniel get fired yet?
Or....is this more evidence of corruption and point shaving.

Either Tomlin's perfect MNF streak stays intact and they end up with another NHALS season pf mediocrity or they lose and both the undefeated MNF and NHALS dies an ugly death.

Every win counts… but they have played an extraordinarily weak run of teams.

Statistically they are:jeemie wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:32 amMiami isn't great but they are also not a bottom feederCKSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:30 amTomlin is always aggressive against bottom feeders but puckers up when it matters.
Remember when they started going for 2 pointers with Ben towards the end of Haley's tenure? At least at the start of the year when the games were meaningless or the competition was soft. It's like when Tomlin is feeling it he slaps the bottom feeders with his ballsack, but it shrivels up and goes inside his body when facing an actual playoff team.

Doesn't all that add up to "only slightly worse than the Steelers overall" coming into the game?

Both of these screenshots are a couple of weeks old, but basically the steelers vs dolphins is:
a middle of the pack defense/bottom third offense vs a bottom feeder offense and bottom third defense

In contrast, Detroit is top 5 or 6 in both offense and defense.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 1:44 pmBoth of these screenshots are a couple of weeks old, but basically the steelers vs dolphins is:

This was the 1st game in NFL history where 2 TEs scored rushing TDs.
I'm sure A. Smith will put that on his wall of success.

Imagine being Jaylen Warren on this team.

What I saw last night was a dysfunctional Dolphins team quit
But, I dont necessarily blame them for quitting
Their defense came out playing well and hitting hard.
Then Tua happened -- that team has to be tired of watching ... if Achane cant rip off huge plays they are doomed
And, as Aikman pointed out, their sort of faux comeback play in the 4th quarter was disjointed and odd. Appearing to be trying while not really trying.
The Browns game is now key to season IMO -- I will be shocked beyond shocked if they win in Detroit.
On the road against the rival Browns in the cold will not be easy I think .. the good news is ROdgers > Shadeur so not sure how Browns score much. But worried we wont score much either

Actually, Browns game is only meaningful if either ravens lose both of next two, or ravens lose one and Steelers beat Detroit. Otherwise, it comes down to the finale against the ravens, regardless of what else happens.Gonzo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:07 pmWhat I saw last night was a dysfunctional Dolphins team quit

you are right - I forgot that if Steelers were 8-8 and Ravens 9-7 and Steelers win that Ravens game they win tie-breaker on head-to-head
but yes, Our Super Bowl is NHALS so Browns matter for that

It has to be hard for that team to play hard when Tua shits the bed all the time -- made worse by Tua talking to press and deflecting from his own shitty performances. He was atrocious last night and then seemed super excited and vindicated when he scored twice in slop timejebrick wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:45 pmTheir coach quit in the 4th quarterGonzo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:07 pmWhat I saw last night was a dysfunctional Dolphins team quit

When the Steelers achieve NHALS, that's Tomlin's Super Bowl. The Browns game might as well be a post-season game for him.
The Steelers are the only NFL team that doesn't observe the playoffs. They get ready to tip their hats to their Wild Card opponent and book their vacations for the divisional round.
Arod is going to learn.
