So when AJ Brown says in his tweet; "He admitted that he grabbed you but don’t act like your like that or ever was" AJ was being facetious?
Yeah...nah.
Yeah...nah.

The dude was asked this question by reporters just hours after the biggest heartbreaking loss of his life. These are athletes, not politicians. Expecting a high level of nuance is unrealistic. I just give the guy credit for not acting like a big whiner because a lot of other players would have.Dshiner wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 6:57 pmIce wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 6:47 pmI figured he was aiming for subtlety, or not wanting to seem like a sore loser, or not to get fined, or a little bit of all three.Dshiner wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 6:41 pm
Yes, so he should have said the refs hadn't called holding all game long so why did they call me on that play? IMO, there is a difference between the "right" call and the technically correct call. A smart statement would have been why is something that wasn't a penalty for 59 minutes suddenly a penalty? Was JSS even the intended receiver?
Okay, then I think saying nothing is more effective. Because if what you plausibly offer was his motivation his statement had mostly the opposite effect. If the accused miscreant says it was the right call then it was is how everyone seems to perceive it. You are saying that maybe thats not what he meant. I can see it.

I think he gave the whiner's version of right call but bad call.

Amazing this has to be explained.

I never expected a high level of nuance. I expected a no comment. Ice brought up the perceived attempted nuance. He might be right.
Great post. He could have be loved like Hines Ward. Instead he's turned into a childish prick. Shame but glad it's for another team.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

I thought he said he would take #84 so people could keep using their old Brown jerseys.
