Did anyone key in on Haeg last game? Did he make a case for starting over Moore?
(Also, please please please no to Harvin.)
Ben gave Haeg vote of approval over Green. Said Moore would be great at guard…diplomatically of course, but message was clear he like Haeg!

Edited: Corrected Moore to Green

#Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, who practiced today following shoulder surgery that landed him on IR, does have a chance to play this weekend. It’ll depend on how he does in practice, but coach Mike Tomlin called it a start.
Fucking Tuitt is a watched pot that never boils. JuJu not watched and bam he is back.

Except we don't throw in the middle of the field.
Largely because we don't have JuJu.
We throw to the middle of the field, just within 2-6 yards of the LOS. JJSS can be a seam buster; well he and maybe he opens up Muth to be a seam buster the kind of seam busting that #87 in red does.

If you haven’t noticed, seam busting is a good thing. Gotta bust the seams to move the ball downfield.
JuJu has a couple team records for busting seams and I believe he is in the NFL record books on a couple of them.

So Bush continues to infect and plague this D.

Just an awful draft pick. Especially considering what they gave up for him.

Can’t imagine other defenders not calling him out

You know this is where I am at too. But I just thought he is a guy that could flip a switch now that he is in the playoffs.

He has the size and speed to be a hybrid, but he needs to get reckless with his body. He is holding back for some reason. Probably some slightly nefarious motive…money, feels slighted about play calling etc. I will cross my fingers he throws a switch. I don’t think it will happen, but he has the talent and speed to do it.

I don't know shit about what his injury was, but It's been three months since his surgery. Will JuJu be as physical as he was pre-injury? Can he take a hit in the middle of the field? Will the chiefs target his shoulder if he plays?
I think he broke his shoulder, which sounds gnarly.

I think Guentzel had a similar injury and took him at least 6 months.
Shoulders are notoriously slow healers- basically due to minimal blood flow in that area.

I'm fine with his return as long as it doesn't remove Muth from his targets. Muth is honestly the only guy on offense I trust not to do something stupid

Remember Muth really took off after Juju's injury
On the contrary, I think JuJu helps Friermuth a ton.
I think @Scunge made the JuJu was detrimental to Muth argument too…a short to mid term argument if I am not mistaken, not over the long run. But I still think these arguments are rooted in using JuJu incorrectly in the game plan to begin with.

Both arguments had some merit. Both can be true and false. There probably is some truth to the development of Muth after JuJu went down. But now Muth is a known quantity and JuJu should be able to supplement and the offense better overall at this late date, after JuJu we’re to knock off rust.

Flips the switch? He hasn’t done so all year so I doubt he does it now.

Would sure like to see him playing like a Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker should play but again, not holding my breath.

He is what he is and that’s a prancing fairy that avoids contact.

He isn’t turning into a hybrid of Jack Lambert and Troy P by flipping no switch.

He needs to find his balls and stop being a scared pussy.

He’s a disgrace.

Whatever argument you want to make re: who he helps, JuJu at 80% significantly helps this offense. No, it won't be a juggernaut, but since Ben needs to often dump off passes quickly having a player who can get RAC yards and first downs would really help.

Not to mention that he can and has made huge chunk plays.

Seems doubtful, but would be a huge boost.

It’d be awesome to have JuJu for this game. He’s one of the most physical receivers in the game today.

Plus if he’s practicing now, it represents a desire to contribute to the team. That’s better than sitting things out to protect himself from further injury.

I’d enjoy seeing him out there if he can get cleared. Let him earn his money.
Folks can question the grown ass kid off the field, but between the lines, he's been a pretty damn good Pittsburgh Steeler.

Just the possibility to play affects KC gameplan and prep.

Awww, who are we kidding? It won't matter. Our offense is no different with or without JuJu - an 80% (hell, probably even 100%) JuJu doesn't scare anyone any more than McCloud does now, which is basically not at all.

I think Tomlin is playing mental Jujitsu with the Chiefs.

It would be great to see JuJu play Sunday and I think this could be the move that would help the offense for sure. If he does play I hope he does not reinjure his shoulder.

Besides JuJu, Tuitt and Alualu injury, this has to be one of the healthiest weeks heading into the playoffs since pre-Bell.

We will have our full contingent of players that have been with us the whole season mainly. Harris with an elbow, Maulet concussion, Moore ankle. Harris’ elbow didn’t seem to be impacting him in the second half, Spillane a knee bruise and that is it I believe.

I believe we can be full speed out of the gates on Sunday!

Surprise Playoff Ballers?

(Harris will play well, no surprise though)

Bush could be. If he ever loved contact in his football past, and he embraced it this game, I could see him getting a game ball. That is all he has to do. Fly and Crush…go Troy P mode!

I can see Claypool being exceptional in the playoffs. Something about his intensity and his disregard for his body.

Gentry…former QB…ball skills.

Witherspoon…coming into form…hasn’t started in the playoffs. Has Super Bowl experience.

Harvin snaps out of funk!

Ummm why would that be? Shouldn’t the team that out him on IR know exactly what is wrong with him?

And that is in part why I don’t think he’s really “injured”.

They gave some lip service to his knee earlier.

Tuitt took the year off. All signs point to that until other info is provided.

Since we're speculating, I'm going to say everything they've said is a cover-up for the fact he wanted to walk away and retire. They said take the year to decide, and if you still feel this way by the offseason, we'll settle on a refund of your guaranteed money and you make make it official. This year's status allows for him to change his mind and not rush into the decision.

he wanted to walk away and retire.
Maybe. But I’m not sure retiring is his goal.

I think he’s simply figured out he can get paid full time wages while only putting in part-time work.

Retire and do what? Go get a real job?

He is young and has many more NFL paychecks in his future if he wants them.

And many will come whether he plays or not.

This sucks! If we could have had him couple weeks ago…might have been an unlock of the line too…maybe the receiver corp gets better, relieves pressure on pass pro, opens up run game.

JuJu is not a cure all, but he would have definitely help with consistency and keeping drives alive.

Probably too little too late. Fingers crossed.
To me the best thing to happen if he plays is Claypool can just run his jump ball routes and jet sweeps. He seem to have too much trouble doing anything else. Juju can take the middle of the field.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
