Tomlin rumors

Post by R_S » Mon Jan 19, 2026 1:15 am

Im surprised there hasn't been a post about this but it is getting rampant on Facebook . One of the reasons Tomlin "stepped down" is that he knocked up a young blonde bartender/nurse. Apparently she had the baby in October and was paid 3 million to sign a NDA and keep her mouth shut.

At first I thought it was just one of those Kordell rumors, but every time a see a post about it there are about a dozen people both men and women from New Castle who swear up and down its a well known fact there. (Thats where the girl is from). Her name is even out there.

It’s been posted here all weekend. It’s buried in another Tomlin thread I posted the twitter link to the said girl

Sounds like a setup....?

I would trace her digital footprint, leave no stone unturned, 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon...
And would not be suprised if she was a beer cart girl on a course that 95 played....

Or another one of the Fury evil doers got this done.

Apparently she was a bartender at Burn on the north shore. There is a Facebook post of her in a pleather mini skirt on their Facebook page in 2020

She was aspiring to something else before the bartending

This one has been out there for months with more details being filled in. Some people like our esteemed Jeems tell us not to talk about it as it isn't our business and it's just salacious nonsense, but the reality is that this tells us quite a bit about the Steelers and the NFL in my book.

If the story is true, did Tomlin actually get forced out over this in light of the Michigan crap in particular? Art II is a weird guy about the team's image. Did it just make him step down because his family life fell into turmoil? They are uncomfortable, but legit questions to ask of a public figure like Tomlin.

One thing I do know is that the "insiders" both local and national know whether this is true or not and won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I'm surprised he didn't just pull out and let Art the Cuck lick up the jizz.

Interesting, and here I came into this thread thinking I would see how many job offers Coach T has received since so many Tomlin rumpswabs have been telling us how fast he would receive said job offers.

And our esteemed Hall Monitor telling us not to do something? What a surprise.

It's STD in a wig. He took one for the team once he finally turned on Tomlin, but he's starting to get second thoughts on that after their post-coitus pillow talk.

There was a real bond there, ya know?

It was Spiker. After successfully catfishing Swiss, they/them went after Mediocre Mike.

Did Tomlin jizz in unauthorized snatch?

Boy that would make an amazing final chapter for Tomlin’s reign of terror in Pittsburgh.

Whitlock (who is a giant piece of shit from everything I've heard, not just the political BS people attack him for, just as a human being) has said that Marty knocked up a waitress who worked near the stadium in KC back in the day.

Tomlin probably shouldn't have lost his job IF this happened and if THAT is what happened. If shit is consensual it's none of our real business, but I can't discount it because as much as Art II loved him some Mediocre Mike he may love the bullshit image he's tried to cultivate more. The mythology of the Steelers is more important to him than the reality I fear.

Well if this woman is the reason I get to enjoy my team again she's a saint. Thank the football gods for her.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Tomlin stepped down because he just lost his seventh straight playoff game 30-6 at home and not having anything more than bottom of the barrel QB play next season.

No idea about the truth of this story, however it would explain quite a bit about Tomlin’s exit.

I would wager there was a morals clause in his contract, and if he did indeed have a love child, he broke that clause. Walking away and leaving $16-20 million on the table is not something that most people would do. Why would he not force Rooney to fire him? Perhaps because there is something to this story, and the Steelers, Rooney and Tomlin worked out an exit plan. The Steelers would say nothing, not fire their Rooney Rule poster boy, and let him resign. Rooney publicly declares he was planning on running it back, Tomlin claims burnout, and everyone believes this was Tomlin’s call. With that deal, Tomlin is allowed to leave the building without giving a final public statement/press conference. When has this man ever avoided a camera or a microphone? Not once that I can remember. Instead, the glib, arrogant Mike Tomlin exits like a fart in the wind.

The Steelers indeed like their image. I’d think the preeminent black coach who proudly wears a big cross around his neck, coaching the team of the Irish Catholic Rooneys would need to have a clean public image. I’d also imagine the Steelers and the NFL both have their own private security, so if there is any skeletons in Tomlin’s closet, they found them and Rooney knows.

I don’t think Art the Lessor would care about Tomlin’s private life unless it became public. Is it now becoming public?

Tomlin’s wife made a statement (I have no idea why) and I thought it was interesting:

For her sake hope that statement was fake. Defensive about his accomplishments or lack thereof.

Mentorship above winning, above self-improvement to be a better coach.

Maybe better mentorship would have resulted in an actual Coaching Tree.

Arrogance, the statement is about leaving a legacy but not thankful to anybody about anything. People owe him for his greatness.

There have been some reports that Mediocre Mike was actually owed something like $50 million if that option was exercised to we are talking $25 mil a year. That's a lot of money yea. Tomlin has earned a lot, but still I don't think it's enough to where he could just shrug off losing that kind of cash.

A lucrative TV deal on par with Brady's would help, but we don't have any numbers or confirmation of that yet.

There's a million ways this could have played out. $20-25M is a lot, and I could see Deuce being willing to let Tomlin be a lame duck rather than pay him $20M+ not to coach.

I could also see Tomlin just being done and not wanting to risk NHALS or add-on another humiliating playoff loss. But unless he's really done with coaching, or just made a rash decision, expect some sort of negotiation to take place.

I also think it's possible Tomlin did decide before this year it was his last. One more non-losing season, and one last shot to go out with a playoff win (or more).

Maybe most likely scenario is, after 19 years, Deuce and Tomlin have a lot of mutual respect if not friendship. No one playing hardball over that contract, and both just deciding it was time.
