Pretty sure Luck did the same thing as Tuitt. Since we're speculating, I'm going to say everything they've said is a cover-up for the fact he wanted to walk away and retire. They said take the year to decide, and if you still feel this way by the offseason, we'll settle on a refund of your guaranteed money and you make make it official. This year's status allows for him to change his mind and not rush into the decision.
Calvin Ridley, receiver for Falcons quit playing after like 3 or 4 weeks this season, citing mental reasons, never playing another down.

Pretty sure Ridley got paid for the season as well, think they treated it same as an injury, it was bizarre to say the least, think he’s in his 3rd year this year and dude is a stud.

On my drive to work this morning I was listening to wfan in NY with Boomer and Greg Giannotti. Greg said "Devin Bush is the worst LB the Steelers have ever drafted, and that includes guys like Jarvis Jones"
I could not agree any more with that statement.
If he is out there than Tomlin is dumber that I thought...Spillane, Allen, UG III, Buddy is on IR i believe, but ANYONE!!!
55 will not give us a chance, lets just be honest.

Biggest difference between Ridley and Tuitt is that Ridley gave it a real shot before quitting -- Tuitt just flat out quit before the season started. Ridley played 5 full games (plus preseason) and only cost his team $2.4M (around 1.3% of ATL's total cap), whereas Tuitt cost us over $8.6M and about 5% of our cap hit. Big swing there.StillerDownSouth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:41 am

Both are studs when motivated/capable to play.

Still can't believe they didn't sign that LB that Tenn signed after he got released. A stud run stuffer getting released seemed like a gift from god but Tomlin probably thought that would admit he fucked up with the Bush pick. Living in our fears as usual.Minkah'n Big Plays wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 2:35 pmOn my drive to work this morning I was listening to wfan in NY with Boomer and Greg Giannotti. Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

It would be great to see JuJu play Sunday and I think this could be the move that would help the offense for sure. If he does play I hope he does not reinjure his shoulder.

Ugh. Kelce is a nightmare. I sure don't want to see Sutton trailing him across the middle, I'll tell you that. Would love Minkah on him, but as everyone knows he's busy tackling everyone who runs through the space where the middle linebackers are supposed to be. Can they scheme Witherspoon on him somehow? Let Haden guard Hill?Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 4:50 pmJuju and Pat will be more impactful for the Steelers than Kelce will be for KC.jeemie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 4:43 pmYeah Andy Reid is sweating bullets over the possibility JuJu might play...lol!Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 11:24 pmI think Tomlin is playing mental Jujitsu with the Chiefs.![]()

I agree Kelce is a nightmare. Stopping him will be a challenge. But so will stopping all the others. I'm just saying having a couple more weapons for Ben to throw to is more impactful. At least KC has more to think about this go around.pickarooney wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:15 pmUgh. Kelce is a nightmare. Hill can obviously beat anyone deep with pure speed, but Hill isnt anywhere near the route runner that AB was/is
Biggest surprise baller: Roger Goodell and his screenwriters
They must decide Ben retiring with a championship...number 7 getting the Steelers' 7th from the 7 seed is more compelling than Brady going up against his old coach.
Seriously if you believe the NFL is scripted...what other stories match those two?

The bolded is true. Hill is still a 4.3 guy.....while Haden, if lucky, is now a 4.55 guy. Haden has some vet savvy in him still, but not enough to come close to containing Hill 1v1.COR-TEN wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:24 pmT. Hill will eat Haden alive. AB owned him. If used properly, KC's WR & TE speed will be a MAJOR problem for us. We have to pressure PM into making some mistakes -- something he's shown to do this year.
The best way to contain Kelce is to get in his head early -- being overly physical, frustrate him and make him make mistakes. Do that and he usually fights himself for about the next two quarters. Don't let up though, because he can beat you on given play.
Let’s face it…Kelce is going to get his, probably Hill too. Steelers have to limit everything else the Chiefs do and counterpunch…hopefully get a couple turnovers and capitalize. Any sudden change in KC territory must be 7, not 3.

I am sure you guys are right about Haden vs. Hill. That begs the question, though: would the right move be to start Witherspoon, with his team-leading pics and passes defended in limited action, over Haden? Or stick with the savvy vet, whose absence noticeably threw our defense out of whack, at least initially. I can't imagine they'd do the first unless Haden is still battling injury/illness, given their tendency to return injured starters to their spots, as with Feiler over Dotson last year. Then again, they seem to be running with JC over Green.

Been messing up Moore and Green’s names since day 1. Ben gave Haeg vote of approval over Moore. Said Moore would be great at guard…diplomatically of course, but message was clear he like Haeg!

The last two times a Steelers player won it, the Steelers were playing in the Super Bowl that season (Troy 2010, Harrison 2008).
Just sayin
Donald Driver was a possession receiver. 13.6 Y/R career. His lowest Y/R was 9.6 (his final season)
JuJu the past 2 seasons is at 8.6. I'm not saying it's all his fault. Does not seem to me though that he has the same burst he had his rookie season. Too much bulk?
8.6 Y/R doesn't even crack the top 100 this season which includes some RBs on the list.
And as for Najee Harris... in the NBA be wary of high scorers on bad teams. Someone is going to score some points on every team in the NBA. Harris is part of the painful slow plod we have become even though he's a good player. 6.3 Y/R
The bar for offense has fallen so far it's not even recognizable.
