No Kelce is huge. It means that it's less likely to be a shootout. We can be a little more conservative on offense in the first half. Can probably keep our forward passes to 3 yards or less now. Might even be able to take our time in probing the defense with our running game too.

Who are you kidding Stiller. I bet any money the game gets moved. We will get hosed by the “new” Covid rules.

I know in my heart and gut this game will get moved!

This would be a horrible development, because the fear that the other team is going to light up our defense is often the only thing that gets the Steelers in score mode early.

Does "score early mode" mean before the 3rd quarter?

I was under the impression that starting in the 3rd quarter was "score early mode."

Exactly.

They never got down far enough on Sunday, and you saw the results.

Hell, when they caught up to Minn, you saw the next series. Anytime it’s not desperate, they are in full on possession/no mistakes/get to 3rd down without a turnover mode.

Don't think they've ever been this blatant about it during the Tomlin Era. It has really been awful to watch. Honestly never seen anything like it, and I sat through the entirety of Jim Tressel's tOSU career.

Oh gawd Ice, did you have to go there? Tress won a NC at tOSU and I hated him. His offensive philosophy was maddening…”every possession that ends in a kick, is a good possession “. I bet JT and Shades get together for coffee three times a week.

It's the only thing I've seen outside of some really bad HS football that was remotely comparable, and even Tress' offense wasn't as willfully impotent as what we've watched this year. Will forever treasure that season and National Championship. really great memories with my mom, who thought Tressel could do no wrong. Even bought me his book at one point. Didn't end well, though for some reason, never seems to with our coaches...

Should the Steelers have a vacancy, there is an available younger Tressel who could be had for the right price.

Tomlin has taken attrition football to a new level since discovering what he's always wanted is actually fewer possessions, not TOP.

The real epiphany was you can also shorten the game with your DEFENSE, by allowing the other team to go on long, sustained drives.

Watch any NFL team playing with their emergency quarterback starting. They have exactly the same game plan as the Steelers have every week with Ben Roethlisberger.

Yeah, I mean I saw more aggressive playcalling yesterday for Nick Mullens than I have seen for Ben pretty much all season.

No wonder they promoted Matt Canada. He’s either exactly what Tomlin wanted in an OC, or Tomlin is simply coordinating the offense much like he does the defense, and Canada is Butler.

It’s brutal to watch.

Add the Cheetah to the list.......Def gonna be moved now.

Chiefs placed Tyreek Hill on the reserve/COVID list.

Cornerback Rashad Fenton, TE Blake Bell, and Hill will join Travis Kelce and K Harrison Butker on the COVID list with others reportedly "likely coming." Amid a cluster ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Steelers, it's entirely possible this matchup is the pick to move to Tuesday in Week 16. Stay tuned.

Tyke Hill, CB Rashad Fenton and TE Blake Bell joined the list today....per Shefter more are coming as well. Sure hope this game doesn't get moved.

Playing against Hill and Kelce is brutal. One without the other is more manageable.

Both out would be a Christmas miracle.

I'm going to argue the game won't be moved because these decision are based on parity, not fairness. At 10-4, the Chiefs can afford to lose a game. At 7-6-1, PIT could use all the help they can get.

PIT beating KC is going to make the entire AFC that much more interesting down to the wire. I bet Roger is crafting the bullshit excuse right now, something like "altering travel plans was too difficult around the holiday"

It's definitely going to be moved, they play the following Monday night so it will be ok. I love how the rules change unless it would benefit Pittsburgh.

If they move it because KC does not have their stars is BS. They only have 5 players out. Let the game go on.
