This article's insinuation is straight up trash, as is its statement as if fact that Harrison "led with his helmet".

Wow. I hope this is not the beginning of drama in the Burgh. I hope Tomlin comes out with his side of the story and it is just a story. If it is true there is no way he would survive being the coach.

That was terrible when I read that. I was like OK you are writing this but you don't know what you speak of. I also liked how the NFL was selling the picture of the hit on the website all framed and nice for the customer but it is a 75,000 dollar fine for the player in the picture.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 7:31 pmThis article's insinuation is straight up trash, as is its statement as if fact that Harrison "led with his helmet".
Harrison will probably need some teammates to corroborate these events....or.....he’ll look really dumb and bitter.

I think he was trying to give Tomlin a compliment but in the age of "no live sports so people need something to talk about/report on" this could have legs with the way he told the story.

Just when I thought enough time had passed that I could consider ordering a Deebo jersey...
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Let’s remember, Harrison quit on the Tomlin-led Steelers a few years back and also claimed Tomlin lied to him about how he would be used.rooneytunes wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 8:32 pmI think he was trying to give Tomlin a compliment but in the age of "no live sports so people need something to talk about/report on" this could have legs with the way he told the story.
Harrison has not forgotten that and hasn’t had much nice to say about Tomlin since.
Deebo might be framing his statement as a compliment, but Harrison knows exactly how this will be received. Make no mistake, he’s trying to fuck Tomlin right here. No doubt about that.

Yep. There is no love lost here. Remember, Harrison had better things to say on Belichick after a month playing for the Pats, than he did about Tomlin.K_C_ wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 8:52 pmLet’s remember, Harrison quit on the Tomlin-led Steelers a few years back and also claimed Tomlin lied to him about how he would be used.rooneytunes wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 8:32 pmI think he was trying to give Tomlin a compliment but in the age of "no live sports so people need something to talk about/report on" this could have legs with the way he told the story.

I think Coach Tomlin needs to make a statement too. Nip this in the bud if possible.
Steelers president Art Rooney II released a statement on Harrison's claim.
"I am very certain nothing like this ever happened," Rooney said per ProFootballTalk. "I have no idea why James would make a comment like this but there is simply no basis for believing anything like this."

In upcoming TMZ filming Harrison is going to explore exactly who these dishonest little sons of bitches think they’re fooling by claiming they sat down and watched the whole damn season. There’s even some rare footage of a few of these pieces of shit talking about Harrison's depiction of Mike Tomlin as the man who made him a starter and risked his entire head coaching career by cutting an All pro and although this has not even been discussed in the fucking Pandemic NFL relations film Harrison feels slighted that Tomlin has been slighted by this slighting. Harrison obviously feels slighted as well that only one publication allowed him to pose with only 2 of his larger handguns; obviously depicting his intent to aim well no matter the hit radius. Harrison added that his next interview would focus on all the goddamn brown-nosers who are not mush-mouthed Ike Taylor, Graves disease infested Bryant McFadden or the ever bitter D. Townsend who when not alertly notifying the media that Hines Ward is only 50 percent American alertly tried to steal Harrison's 100 yard Super Bowl Interception return by safely returning it 90 yards with absolutely zero Cardinals attempting to tackle him resulting in a team victory no matter the personal loss to Harrison during his humiliation of being only the genius who lattereled to a wide-open, much-faster player.

In an effort to quell backlash following a dull listless post, controversial yet often informative poster, Jobu (named after a black-magic practicing plastic troll doll, whom I love, seriously that hair! Amazeballs. I digress!) proclaimed last evening the story of a worse post getting revenge on a thrice worst post that ratted out corruption schemes among the Steelers coaching ranks.
A popular fat asshole who has spent more money at the downtown Pittsburgh strip club "Blush“ than he has managed to squirrel away by living in his parents basement; Mark Madden, reminded us all this week that as mindless Rooney-sheep we all must remember the valuable lesson in the arraigned but acquitted tales of the young acolyte Jeff Reed. Thick thighed blonde dyed Reed thought he could stab Jesus in the back while simultaneously assaulting a hand dryer capable of being weaponized into a terrorist device capable of promoting the Muslim religion. However Reed ended up paying dearly for double-crossing the Son of God, and the Sheetz corporation of America's United States. In fact greater minds on less drugs than I have even paraphrased the following worse than I:
"You have the right to remain silent and stop reading (seriously, stop, I am wasted...big time, also i am just pasting this next line straight from a guy who has been arrested for stealing my grandparents, aka local 1211 pensions paychecks..J Fallwell ) Chapter four, verses 21 through 23, Christ proclaimed that he would stop at nothing to get retribution on the rat fuck who broke ranks."
You see? Every one of Tomlin's true believers knew that the ARDeuce works in mysterious ways and that it was incumbent upon them to give Deuce the benefit of the doubt and trust that He had everyone’s spiritual and financial interests in mind. Everyone knew this except for Harrison, who thought he could sell Jesus, I mean Tomlin, wait...yeah Kiya, wait Tomlin, down the river. Seriously though you ever met Kiya? I mean just take a trip to Etna to her shop and buy some masks or some cool shirts that say "Obviously" on the back and you will meet an awesome gymnast/wife of our main man, amen, wait, what was i talking about? Jobu! I forgot! Great post! Keeping it real! Any the who also I wanted to say something about the importance of keeping God’s 11th commandment, “Thou shalt not squeal.” Harrison, you broke my heart, again. Dick.

Why the fuck did I read all the way through this worthless thread?

If memory serves this game was the one that set off the entire ruining the game for the sake of "player safety".
That year was an "us vs the league" both Ben and the defense were getting the rough end of the stick from the league office. With that mentality, I am sure that teammates probably all chipped in and paid Jame's fine. They were going to get to the Super Bowl-- just to spite the league.
James might have a problem with Tomlin but you do not violate the sacred trust of the locker room to get even. James is out here thinking that pushing a 1200 pound sled exempts him from "snitches get stitches". Hopefully, Lebeau called him and asked him the fatherly questions that needed to be asked.

I was at this game. The Hit was awesome. Harrison was awesome. I don’t give a fuck about any of this other TMZ, The View bullshit.
That hit ended football as we knew it.

It did. That's not even hyperbole on your part, sadly.
I wonder which event impacted the game more...the changes after Brady went down for the season on a low hit or the vendetta on the Steelers and Harrison after that hit. And they started to enforce the rules on Harrison during that very season, don't forget. He was IMMEDIATELY a marked man...

I liked the hit where he knocked out the Cleveland QB better. There's been so many I can't remember his name. On the Tomlin thing, I'd actually be proud if the Steelers paid for some of these bullshit fines for the players. Now for a player to make that public, well that's just completely stupid. If it was happening, James just ruined it for anyone else in the future. Dumb ass.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Indeed.
Am I the only one that remembers JH is trying to establish a post-NFL career as a talking head? He's pretty good at seeding trollish nuggets, and this isn't the first time.

I can agree with this statement but go back a few weeks earlier that year when the Steelers played Tennessee. Harrison was fined for his hit on Vince Young when he picked him up by the lower legs and with the help of A. Smith, slammed him on his head. Jeff Fisher made a big stink about the hit saying Harrison should have been suspended.
Go find the hit. The Steelers had 6-7 players standing/milling about the LOS, none of them with their hand on the ground when the ball was snapped. They ran a few twists at the snap.
