Rudolph + Hodges:
267/418, 2705 yds, 63.9% ,18 TD / 17 INT, 6.47 YPA, 79.69 QB rating
PEYTON MANNING prorated rookie season:
295/521, 3388 yds, 56.7%, 24 TD / 25 INT, 6.5 YPA, 71.2 QB rating
That's 20 years ago for Manning when rookies rarely started. Completely different era.
Mason is coming to the end of his second year, and ran a pro offense in college. Maybe your argument would apply to Duck. Maybe. But after nearly two years, Mason is probably not going to get much better.
Yes, those Manning rookie numbers mean jack shit. Manning had elite NFL arm talent. I know B2B knows this.
Please, no more rag armed QB's on the field. I'd rather see a live arm... give Lynch a shot.
Arm strength is highly underrated in today's game.
The offense and Hodges had zero shot yesterday unless the OL was able to open holes in the run game on 1st and 2nd down. They didn't.
I remember early in the game, we sucked running the football on 1st down, then finally we threw the football vertically on a 1st down and had success. The next 1st down play we had an effective run play, then went right back to running the football again on 1st with no success killing our momentum.
8-8 is exactly what should happen with this defense and would happen with any average HC. 8-8 is what we likely get if the Ravens don't rest their starters.
Fitchner is in over his head. Tomlin is an albatross on the offensive side of the football.
Throw. The. Football. On. First. Down.
